This is especially helpful for very dirty or sandy greens, such as spinach, and it's the only spinner we tested that had this feature. Salad spinners are essential since clean, dry leaves are better-prepped for dressing on salad (and they stay fresh longer). Besides the obvious reduction in volume, what this really translates to is a much smaller storage footprint.

However, this is excellent for anyone who needs to dry large volumes of salad as we filled the colander three-quarters full and the leaves came out bone dry with just a few spins. We find these easiest to use because one push usually creates many spins, making quick work of washing leaves.This collapsible spinner might be your best bet to add to a camping or RV setup, but it fails to stack up well against the competition. If you have a second batch of greens to wash, you can reverse the sling and use the dry side, but after that you'll have to wait for it to dry before using again. This was by far one of the most effective spinners, leaving very little water clinging to the greens, so we'll forgive this spinner for not coming with a bowl that can be used for serving.

Though these factors are worth being aware of, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks of this model.
