About this deal

Batman: Last Knight on Earth— Billed as "the last Batman story ever told", Batman wakes up in post-apocalyptic tale where the villains have won. Written by Scott Snyder and drawn by Greg Capullo.

Jasper, Gavin (September 20, 2013). "A Look at Injustice: Gods Among Us – The Comic Book". Den of Geek. I liked that Clark kept his humility and scout outlook even when everyone was always either criticising him or questioning him. The comic does a good job at illustrating how much he has to restrain himself to avoid not only hurting others, but also becoming self-absorbed.

DC Black Label provides examples of:

In the first issue of Action Comics, published in 1938, Superman beats up a wife-beater, saves an innocent woman from execution, and forces a corrupt senator to confess that he’d stirred up a South American war because he was in bed with the arms industry. The qualms were reportedly over two sentences, which the Folio Society told Spiegelman went against the Marvel’s desire to be apolitical: “Auschwitz and Hiroshima make more sense as dark comic book cataclysms than as events in our real world. In today’s all too real world, Captain America’s most nefarious villain, the Red Skull, is alive on screen and an Orange Skull haunts America.” The Folio Society

Lex Luthor is found as the lone survivor in the ruins of Metropolis. He meets with Superman's League and wishes to join them, promising to recruit more members to Superman's side. Meanwhile, Batman's League kidnaps Hawkgirl and replaces her with the shapeshifting Martian Manhunter, thereby gaining a spy in Superman's League. And look, I know it had to be incredibly hard to try and retell the Superman origin story...again. I get that, really.Readers get to see a young Kal-El shortly after he lands on the Kent farm. The story takes the journey through his life, with a high focus on his teenage years while he learns to deal with his powers around other people. Things take an unlikely detour as he dives into other ventures that include joining the navy and finding Atlantis before eventually continuing his adventure in Metropolis and meeting future Justice League members Batman and Wonder Woman.

I don’t know why we had to see Superman do Navy SEAL training, especially given how long that goes on for - nearly a third of the book for something utterly pointless! It’s not like it was teaching him discipline or values - he already got that from Jon and Martha. Also, is it normal for cadets to be taken on actual life-or-death missions against terrorists while still in training? Taylor and Bruno Redondo returned as the writer and artist respectively for the sequel comic book series Injustice 2 which began publication in May 2017. The series takes place between the events of the first game and its sequel, Injustice 2. Written by Frank Miller and drawn by John Romita Jr. The Last God— The first book, taking place 30 years after a band of heroes had supposedly killed the last living god, Mol Uhltep, an eldritch creature who's kind once plagued and ravaged the lands. However, it would seem the legends lie as the supposedly dead Mol Uhltep makes a chilling return, bent on gruesome revenge. Written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and drawn by Riccardo Federci and Sunny Gho with Dean White. The second issue has Superman in the Navy, which worked okay. He journeys to Atlantis, or at least part of Atlantis, to meet Lori Lemaris and Poseidon (no Aquaman.) Creepy part here is when Poseidon tells his daughter Lori she'll need to replace her mother and be his companion in "every way." And later he even explains further, which was really unnecessary. This was out of place. Batman: The Imposter— A Batman story set in a "gritty, hard-boiled version of Gotham City" where a second Batman haunting Gotham's rooftops and alleys—and this one has no qualms about murdering criminals, live and on tape. Written by Mattson Tomlin and drawn by Andrea Sorrentino.
