About this deal

The Kodak Step printer is the cheapest conventional iPhone printer on our list, but it still does a good job. So if you're looking to print images from your iPhone but are watching the pennies carefully, it's an excellent choice. Imprime cualquier foto desde tu smartphone o tablet sobre la marcha y en menos de un minuto con la nueva impresora de bolsillo Polaroid Mint gracias a su conexión Bluetooth. The simplest way of connecting your iPhone to this printer is via NFC (near-field communication). That might sound technical, but in practice, it means you just have to lie your iPhone on top of the printer and the free iOS app will launch automatically. This depends on the printer. The Instax Link series uses actual instant film (the same as you put in Instax film cameras) to produce an authentic instant print. This is a definite stylistic choice, giving you a low-detail, low-fidelity, analog quality that can't be achieved on traditional printers, but comes at a cost –as instant film is pretty pricey. The wider version of Fujifilm's original Instax Mini Link, the Link Wide is one of the best portable printers for casual use, with fun and creative ways to customize images by using templates and emojis. There are some great features of this wireless printer – including its superb QR code functions, although its features aren't nearly as impressive as those available with the original Instax Link Mini (see number 5 in this guide).

The good thing about this printer is that it uses wireless AirPrint to print from anywhere via your mobile device. You can print using technically any software – for example, Photoshop or the photo app on your phone. Cost Per Print Of course, in practice, we all know that these things don't always work perfectly, for all manner of reasons. So it's great that this printer also has three other ways to connect to your iPhone, via Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, or Bluetooth. With this range of options, you're sure to get it working with the minimum of fuss. Bluetooth also makes this printer incredibly easy to setup. The process is arguably easier than plugging in a cable. Once you run through the setup wizard, you’ll have prints streaming out in under one minute. Assuming you want to edit your prints, it might take a couple moments longer than that. More and more photographers are leaving their bulky DSLRs at home in favor of more compact mirrorless designs and even smartphones. So, it’s no surprise that portable photo printers are becoming mainstream, too. The best portable printers enable you to share prints from your smartphone with friends and family, anywhere

They print in one of three different ways. One is using Zink (short for zero ink) photo paper. This is the cheapest type of iPhone printer, although the quality isn't usually the best. An alternative approach is called dye-sublimation, aka 'dye-sub'. This process uses heat to transfer dye to the printing material, and your photos will look better than if they were printed on a Zink printer.

Autonomía suficiente para 50 impresiones. La Polaroid Mint se carga mediante un cable micro-USB (incluido con ella) The SELPHY Photo Layout 2.0 App is incredibly easy to set up and use. While many of the other printers connect via Bluetooth, the QX10 runs through Wi-Fi, limiting when you can connect, but also eliminating any compatibility or device-finding issues. The setup took seconds, really, and I was printing in no time. La aplicación gratuita Polaroid Mint (disponible para iOS y Android) te permite seleccionar filtros, bordes y aplicar otras opciones de edición a las fotos (como añadir pegatinas) para dar rienda suelta a tu creatividad Images from your iPhone can be moved, rotated, and zoomed in/out before printing, although you don't get any other editing features. Meanwhile, the camera itself sports a 28mm f/2, has a 4.9MP sensor, and lets you store up to 45 images internally, or more if you add a microSD card. There's a built-in flash, and a self-timer, and you can shoot as close as 10cm from your subject. If you want something easy to use, the Kodak Mini 2 is a good choice. Its accompanying iOS app makes it super simple to print out pictures from your iPhone, plus it's compatible with all iPhones running iOS 8.0 and above.

The Mini LiPlay prints photos in 12 seconds, and you can print 100 photos on a single charge. Note that they're the same tiny size (1.8 x 2.4in) as the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link, number 5 on our list. Since the technology is basically the same across all of these devices, you'd think the results would be similar, but we found a surprising amount of variation when we tested different cameras and printers. Below are our top recommendations for Zink-based cameras and printers. From a hardware perspective, the majority of the heavy lifting behind these print-tasks is being done by the print paper. Though when it comes to the hardware necessary to deliver quality color prints, Polaroid does not disappoint. In fact, color is almost synonymous with their brand. It takes 43 seconds to fully print a photo. That’s because each print passes four times through the printer – one for each color (Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow) and another pass at the end for a clear coat. App Features

After the initial box opening, which was good because I liked the design and feel of the KODAK STEP, setting up the app was my first real introduction to it. And it was the precursor to an overall disappointing experience. Finally there are Zink printers that use zero-ink paper, embedded with color crystals, that offers the cheapest printing option –with often middling quality that's neither as good as a dye sub print, nor as intentionally lo-fi as an Instax print. Do portable printers need ink? You don't have to wait till you're home to print out your pictures; you can use the best iPhone printer instead! This is my go-to portable printer! The Instax Mini Link makes printing pictures fun – and is a brilliant alternative to using an instant camera. It uses the same film as the most popular Instax Mini cameras – but the advantage here is that by taking the pictures with your camera phone (or your "proper" camera) you get more control over your results, and can just print out the edited highlights of your night out. However, if you’re looking for accessories for this printer specifically, you won’t find a lot – maybe a couple of sleeves and that’s it. These printers operate wirelessly, using WiFi or Bluetooth technology –or, in the case of the Kiipix, using a mirror! What paper do these printers take? The good thing about this printer is that HP offers a huge selection of accessories for it, such as a carrying sleeve, wallet case, and studio bag. There’s no charging the Kiipix Portable Mini Printer, nor any need to plug it in. Simply load it with Instax Mini film, place your phone face down on the scanner (with the brightness cranked all the way up – trust us), use the reflective mirror to ensure it’s properly aligned, and then you can manually crank out the prints yourself. I have to say that the print quality of this printer is far better than the ZINK options on this list because like the QX10, it uses thermal dye-sublimation printing, which allows the ink to dry instantly. Its prints are long-lasting (rated for 100 years).
