About this deal

Also I’d love a follow up like a month after the physical versions drop. I wanna know what one sells the best in the long run across the consoles since they all came out the same day. Ha! I was just getting the Homebrew ports on my PS Vita, I suppose I'll just wait for this instead. With that said, I've still been enjoying these games. Fortunately, I haven't encountered glitches during the many hours I've played so far but the framerate is atrocious. Only buy this if you know you'll like it. I'm loving it so far all things considered. For what its worth, I LOVED Vice City.. Bought a PS2 just for this game but never had a memory card so just drove round aimlessly, always starting again at the beginning. Eventually traded PS2 in for a DVD player and about 7 second hand Gamecube games. Best decision. Still glad to be able to replay Vice City and also give the other two a go. Hope this rumour pans out.

Very good review, I was thinking of getting this game but I will wait a little longer. This game still getting more updates? The report states that a GTA Remastered Trilogy is nearing the end of development, with Switch being a supported platform along with other consoles, PC and even mobile. The games included are Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, with the remaster project using a mix of new and old assets through Unreal Engine. UglyCasanova I appear to have touched a nerve haha but seriously though maybe your new to the world of gaming?? If so I'm sure you'll soon learn that just because the internet tells you something is bad doesn't mean it is and it's okay to just enjoy things and have fun. You're kinda wrong. There is videos showing that there is massive input lags that actually make the game unplayable because you keep crashing into things due to the input lag and unable to hit any targets using manual aim. Pop ins when cars/people literally pop into the game right in front of you only for you to crash into them. Failing missions due to lag is also what I have seen. Also, a lot of the music that was previously listed as not present (poison arrow, animotion , are just 2 examples) are in the game. Bought GTA, London and Expansion, GTA2, GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas recently for about 30 Euros.

Sad and all they had to do was just port the PS3 versions. These definitive remasters shouldn't even be on Switch. I would be okay with just a straight port, as long as it's not buggy I'll bite. Now, GTAV could easily clear a million! If they released that game on Switch, I don’t see why it couldn’t clear 2 million or more. People defending this game should look up some footage of LA Noire and compare the two. It runs smoother, in a higher resolution with way better textures and lighting.Ok Everyone let's gang up here and act as if nintendo is the only console bugged by these glitches! Even the powerful consoles are having it bad as well, so what does this have to do with the switch? I've played about 3hrs of San Andreas on Series X and am loving it so far. Any glitches or "weird" animation things I've seen were the same things happening the in original release. People either forget that, or are playing this for the first time and have no clue. I hope that is a genuine re-work of port from the original versions, they can even add a simple co-op with 2 switchs... Klump_Soul The gameplay experience is different for different people, if you enjoyed your time, more power to you, but when the game has such bad framerate, with such a horribly soft resolution which is so buggy and broken, with some people even experiencing crashes (though that is less likely), it's just not playable and definitely deserves the score it got

Like I said, I never planned on playing it that way, and I’m getting my milage out of handheld. But they deserve the review bombing in this case. PJOReilly I respect your review and see where it is coming from. I guess from the perspective of someone thinking GTA is a true great video game, your review makes total sense and I can see why there would be harsh criticism. There’s so many old games which had bugs and glitches and I actually like them lol. They aren’t game breaking either. You can still enjoy the game with them. I hate to say it but I was born in a generation where people liked games for being games and not their specs. They are bad versions, but I think they have potential. At the moment they seem unfinished, but having played the PS4 PS2 versions most recently, those versions are poorly emulated, not least as the PAL versions are based on the 50Hz release forced to output in 60Hz. I hope this reaction gets the games properly patched, but they shouldn't have really released in the state they're in. 0.5 though... thats the type of score I'd reserve for Dragon's Lair on the C64. This is great news, as Vice City is easily the best game in the series. I don't care how high-tech GTA5 is - Vice City has tons of personality and makes me want to play and replay it.Could had just port GTA 4 and 5 instead but I guess they want to test the money first with this trilogy. LA Noire didn't sell as well so here's hoping people snatch these up if they want GTA 4 & 5 on the go. Also give us all the PSP GTA games as well. SilentHunter382 Its confirmed these are ports to a new engine, so theoretically we shouldn't get the same bugs as the PS3/360 versions. Maybe a whole host of new ones, but who knows. Pink_Floyd don't think it's that farfetched, it's not like each game is BOTW sized or anything + they are remasters of games people have already played to death Lazy cash grab and nothing more it seems. I wont even buy this trilogy elsewhere, I'm just not touching it period at this point!

Update: A rating for 'Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition' has surfaced in Korea. No platforms are listed. Rpg-lover The fact that it's the second highest profile Switch game releasing this month (after Pokemon, before SMT V) means it's relevant news to Switch owners.

At the end of the day if you're telling someone who wrote a review that they're biased you're just looking for an argument, because that's implied by the format. Both are good. Ones film quality and visual effects out dated but it’s still good and enjoyable to watch.
