This feature was a considerable improvement from the helmets I had in the past, where it felt annoying to have the legs of my sunglasses poking at my head.

In the hot and humid climate of Singapore, I always tend to want to splash water over helmets with hopes that it will provide some form of cooling for my head. You can’t do this on the Gamechanger as there isn’t any vent or hole to allow water to enter. If you prefer a better-ventilated helmet, the ABUS Airbreaker is a great choice. Thanks to the honeycomb structure of the innovative Multi Speed design, the AirBreaker always offers the best possible aerodynamics and at the same time ensures optimum ventilation. Because the Multi-Speed Design doses the ventilation as it is needed: maximum ventilation for slow, hilly stages, and optimum aerodynamics for fast, flat stages.Effective video surveillance is based on meaningful image data. Camera images are thus not only recorded for later analysis, but also directly derive actions. Overall, the Abus AirBreaker is a great helmet that offers superb ventilation at a very light weight. The AirBreaker from ABUS is a helmet that effortlessly meets the highest demands of professional cycling. The Gamechanger helmet is beneficial if you spend a majority of your time on flat or rolling terrain such as in Singapore. If you are a racer, this will be one potent weapon. However, if you are just a casual weekend warrior and money is not an issue, I would suggest going for the ABUS AirBreaker instead.A lightweight helmet should make up for the difference in performance with the comfort afforded by the improved airflow, and the Airbreaker is an absolute master at that. If you are involved in a crash, your head may receive a glancing blow rather than a straight-on impact. This type of accident can cause injury to the brain as it moves within the skull, which modelling suggests would rotate along with the helmet shell. And the Airbreaker has some seriously deep channelling – 28.3mm – and benefits from a huge reduction in overall mass. My test helmet (L) weighs just 228.9g (Abus claims sub-200g for the Small), while still meeting international standards.
