About this deal

The Makita DML816 LXT 18V Flashlight is a powerful flashlight with a maximum brightness of 500 lumens. The flashlight has 3 distinct levels available — 500 lumens in high mode, 250 lumens in medium mode or 100 lumens in low mode. A versatile light source, the flashlight's head can be rotated to achieve the desired position. The included hook also allows the torch to be hung from scaffolding, pipes, and joists. This is the ideal addition to any toolbox or workshop. Sold without a battery. Les 500lm annoncés n’éclaire pas tant que ça finalement. J’aurais voulu l’utiliser en lampe rasante pour les enduits de finition cependant c’est trop juste pour les grandes surfaces. brightness modes - delivers 500 lumens in high mode, 250 lumens in medium mode and 100 lumens in low mode for flexible lighting Extremely long runtimes - up to 17 hours in high mode, up to 34 hours in medium mode and up to 75 hours in low mode when used with a BL1860B 18V 6Ah battery

Makita DML816 14.4V / 18V Li-ion LXT Flashlight – Batteries

Both lights were the same distance away from the phones light metre app.(40cm) , they were both on par roughly but the yellow one which I have used a lot is brighter and better colour but the makita also does a fine job .I had the first iteration of this light, along with Dewalt's 20v work light and Kobalt's 24v work light. I gave the Makita and Dewalt away and kept the Kobalt 24v. That was probably 4 years ago now. The Kobalt is still the best version of this light by a long margin. I think Ridgid might have just came out with a pretty comparable light, but I don't have those batteries, so I don't intend to test it out. This high-luminance 18 LED flashlight offers three modes in low, medium, and high to provide as little or as much light with multiple angles available to get the light where needed. Using one 6.0Ah 18v LXT battery (sold separately), it offers up to 75 hours of continuous runtime, a metal hook to transform it into an overhead light, and a rubberized handle for increased comfort. With multiple uses and its rugged construction, this flashlight will become an ideal addition to any workspace. Product dimensions are stated with a battery / batteries, if they affect the overall dimensions of the product. Le bouton n’est pas très bien placé et assez petit. Pas toujours facile de l’actionner quand on travail avec des gants par exemple. Mode on/off switch delivers either 500 lumens in high mode, 250 lumens in medium mode or 100 lumens in low mode

Makita DML816 18v LXT Cordless Flashlight Naked - Powertoolmate

CONTROL : 3-mode operation: delivers 500 lumens on High, 250 lumens on Medium, and 100 lumens on Low Works great as a shop light when I wrenching on my car. Also works fantastic in dark attics ( HVAC Installs). I had the previous version which worked great as well, but it unfortunately broke where the light assembly rotates. However, this one seems more robust, and the hook placement is significantly better.

Light intensity is very usable on high. Not has bright as the Kobalt, but more than bright enough. It also gets dimmer than the Kobalt, so that is nice when you want to preserve battery life and/or don't want to light up the whole world. For instance, when camping.

Light quality is soft and diffuse due to the layer of semi-transparent diffusion plastic. The light quality is quite nice, although it does not appear to be daylight balanced. Adjustable head which folds up and down with 7 positive stops and rotates 180° left and 90° right for multiple lighting angles When used with the BL1860B 6.0Ah battery, the DML816 will last for up to 75 hours in Low mode, 34 hours in Medium mode, and and 17 hours in High mode. The DML816 is based on the DML801 but features 7 pivot points rather than 6 and 18 LEDs rather than 12 giving it up to double the amount of light - 500 lumens of light vs 240. Reviewing this light is rough because while it's not as good as it should be, it is the best of this style of work light that Makita has made to date.

I raised a complaint with Makita, regarding their extended warranty which excluded work lights in the UK , but everywere else makita offer it.

The switch is an annoying spot. You use your thumb, instead of your trigger finger, like a drill or basically every battery tool ever made...
