Deadpool, Vol. 4 #27 & 29: See Deadpool. I’m not 100% on this placement, but it makes sense for this to come before the next two big events. This Omnibus is really a 3 parter in my view. This Omnibus collects stories mostly in late 80's to early 90s and is a revival for the series. After the original series ended in the first two Omnibus we had Moon Knight go over to West Coast Avengers for awhile. So this is his first Solo series since the original and...well...let's talk about it. Collects Moon Knight (1985) #1-6, Marvel Team-Up (1972) #144, Marvel Fanfare (1982) #30, Marc Spector: Moon Knight (1989) #1-7, and material from Solo Avengers (1987) #3, Marvel Fanfare (1982) #38-39, and Marvel Super-Heroes (1990) #1. Collects Marc Spector: Moon Knight (1989) #39-51 & Special Edition, Moon Knight: Divided We Fall (1992) OGN (released here, though set in earlier continuity), Web of Spider-Man (1985) #93-94, and material from Marvel Comics Presents (1988) #152-154 As the run progresses and the key concepts are established, Moench can then focus his attention on recurring villains, themes, and on telling stories beyond "villain of the month" stories. The final arc centering on Marc's father and his relationship to spirituality and religion as the son of a rabbi who serves an ancient Egyptian god is particularly poignant and is a great capstone. Similarly, the art takes some time to find its footing, but later issues finally manage to play more with shadows and the use of Moon Knight's costume and its distinctive color to contrast with his surroundings.Ms. Marvel & Moon Knight (2022) #1: See Guide to Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan. Marc is also in Ms. Marvel & Venom (2022) #1. This occurs somewhere near his issue #15 Another relaunch at Marvel with All-New, All-Different, sees Marc Spector waking up in an insane asylum with no powers and a lifetime’s worth of medical records. What’s false, and what’s real? This is Jeff Lemire and Greg Smallwood’s surreal take on the character, taking us on a trip forcing Spector to question everything he thought he knew and mostly finding a way to kill the past, his demons, his gods.

First a crossover of sorts with the same story told from two different perspectives as Moon Knight and the Hulk cross paths without realizing it. Great stuff. Marc Spector was born in Chicago, Illinois, the Jewish-American son of a rabbi. But Marc refused to follow in his father’s footsteps and instead, he became boxer before joining the Marines. Later, he worked for the CIA and as a mercenary. It’s during a mission gone wrong in Egypt that Spector is left for dead at the feet of an idol to the Egyptian god Konshu, moon god and protector of travelers at night. Konshu resurrected Marc, giving him for the occasion enhanced physical abilities, making him the moon’s “knight of vengeance,” the “fist of Khonshu.” After the end of his series, Marc is presumed dead and disappears from the Marvel Universe for three years. Then: Infinity Crusade #1, Thor #464, Infinity Crusade #2, Web of Spider-Man #104 & Dr. Strange #55 After his participation in Shadowland and Heroes for Hire, Brian Bendis slightly reinvents Marc’s history of multiple personalities. Now, rather than intentionally flitting between his multiple cover personas, he is hallucinating that he is fighting alongside Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine when really he is dishing out their blows all on his own.Collects Marc Spector: Moon Knight (1989) #1-34, Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #353-358, Moon Knight: Divided We Fall (1992) OGN, and material from Punisher (1988) Annual 2. Collects a series of one-shot fights between heroes and villains from outside their franchise from Punisher Annual (2019) #1, Venom Annual (2019) #1, (Magnificent) Ms. Marvel Annual (2019) #1, Deadpool Annual (2019) #1, She-Hulk Annual (2019) #1, Ghost Spider Annual (2019) #1, Moon Knight Annual (2019) #1, Wolverine Annual (2019) #1.

Avengers (2018) #33-38:“The Age of Khnoshu,” a featured Moon Knight arc! You should definitely read this as part of a sequential read of the character. see Guide to Avengers Flagships (2010 – Present Day) After the terminally dark Huston/Benson run, this series is a brighter affair – in mood, lighting, and bringing in more of the outside Marvel Universe. All in all, this was a monumentally disappointing affair. We sure as hell don't need more bog standard Moon Knight stories to throw on the wasted altar that is this character's sad legacy. I'll return to Scarlet Redemption again and again, but the rest of this book may as well not exist. 2.5/5I also really enjoyed Benson's last two arcs. From Bullseye and Thunderbolts chasing Moon Knight to Iron Man hunting him. All great stuff. Even better was Moon Knight is Mexico and we meet two brothers who are hitman who can't stop saying Bro to each other. Sounds silly but it worked perfectly for me. Collects Heroes for Hire (Vol. 3) #1-12; Spider-Island: Heroes for Hire #1; and Villains for Hire #0.1, 1-4. When Siekeiwincz is inking his own stuff this is 5/5. His art starts with a Neal Adams flavour but gradually finds its way to the more experimental style Bill has become associated with. But whenever he inks his own stuff the art is breathtaking. When others ink it? Not so much. Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight: The Art of the Series ( 2023 hardcover, ISBN 978-1302945862 / digital TBA) Collects a trio of connected one shots; this is the first. It’s preceded by Miles Morales and followed by Amazing Spider-Man.
