About this deal

Initially, I was reluctant to add the Joyo Iron man pedals to this list of clones by Joyo. The reason I was hesitant is due to the fact that many of the pedals in the Ironman series are either smaller versions of pedals from the 10 & 30 series. Whilst many other Joyo Ironman pedals are their own thing and not copies or clones. However, there are indeed pedals in the Ironman series that are clones. Or, have drawn inspiration from original pedals. I must note that there is no official confirmation that these are the exact clones/copies. Some of them are quite obviously clones, whilst others aren’t as obvious. Joyo Ironman Series Of MiniClones And Originals There are a lot of great pedals out there manufactured by some of the well known manufacturers. Some of them can be relatively expensive which means there's a big market for guitar pedal clones.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Ibanez Tremolo Mini Pedal, and I must say, I was quite impressed with its performance. My Review: The first thing I noticed about the Hotone Skyline Analog Tremolo pedal was that it has an interesting design, with optical components providing a smooth, retro tone. With three rotary controls making up the pedal’s parameters, I can safely say that the Skyline offers a decent amount of tone-shaping variables. There are several standout qualities that make the Strymon Flint one of the best tremolo pedals out there. Firstly, the tremolo tone sounds incredibly amp-like, and not artificial in any way, shape or form. Then there’s the impeccable spring reverb, which is labeled under the “60s” setting. This stood out to me as one of the best spring reverb effects I’ve encountered in a long time. My final verdict is that the Boss TR-2 Tremolo Pedal appears to be a versatile and compact pedal with dedicated controls for precise effect tailoring.

Who This is Best Suited for: Affordable and reliable, the Rowin Trelicopter is a good alternative to the more expensive options on this list. It’s well suited to beginner guitarists or those who perhaps don’t have an abundance of experience with effects pedals. The Wampler Latitude tremolo makes for a great modulation pedal, capable of producing consistent classic tremolo tones as well as modern stutters and chops. Choose between 3 sound wave settings; sine waves, peak waves, and square waves and tweak fraction by fraction for a multitude of desirable effects. Another thing you can do is buy newest versions of the pedal, as the manufacturers refine as they fabricate models. Importantly, adhering to end chain placement will help tremendously. Firstly, I was really impressed by the reverb effect, which is based on the authentic spring units used in their 1963 and 1965 models. Combined with the selection of their best-loved tremolos, I found that these effects blend harmoniously to create smooth and warm layers of sonic cushions. You’ll find these tones to be a great way to soften the sound of your guitar. My Review: The first thing that excited me about the BT-1 by Dandelectro, was finding out that it is a tribute to the company’s 1940 tremolo invention. With a unique shape, design, and tone, this mini pedal offers outstanding tremolo effects at a very affordable price and is ideal for those who have a vintage taste. It’s simple to operate but still manages to be versatile.

Many well known bands have employed a tremolo effect throughout a songs entirety. This produces an under-current of pulsations for example 'Born on the Bayou' by Creedence Clearwater Revival which uses a very subtle tremolo all the way through. Almost like a heart beat for that keeps the tempo. Firstly, buffered pedals work to strengthen your tone, send it through the signal chain, and restore its power to an optimal level. It constantly performs this function, regardless of whether the pedal is active or not. Buffered pedals are advisable for cable runs because they can preserve the signal and drive it into the amplifier without it weakening. The only danger with buffered pedals is that they are known to boost the high-end, mostly insignificantly, but some guitarists prefer to avoid them for this reason. This is a classic sound used in blues music. Hence, all the names of “blue” going on here. Marshall does make a modern version of the vintage Bluesbreaker. However, I’d say this Blue rain is more of a clone of the older Bluesbreakers. Joyo Bullet Metal Clone Of Nothing I found the pedal quite versatile, offering six unique tremolo waveforms catering to different preferences.Who This is Best Suited for: If you’re considering purchasing a reverb pedal in addition to tremolo, then why not combine the two with the Fender Tre-Verb. Despite the split-nature of the pedal, neither of the effects suffers in terms of quality, so it’s a great option for guitarists who want to add to their pedalboard without cluttering it. The only downside to the Ironman pedals is that they can’t run off a 9v battery. Only a power supply. Another thing I realized is that they’re a bit on the higher side in terms of price when compared to the 10 and 30 series. However, they definitely still fall into the budget category of pedals. For the pedals that are smaller versions of clones from other series, I haven’t written much of a review as they’ve been covered above in the 10 series and 30 series.

There’s a reason that tremolo has been around since the very beginning of recording music history, and continues to be popular today. The effect is simply timeless and adds a dimension of movement to a guitar’s tone that can’t be replicated. This hands-free approach is a game-changer for live performances, enabling me to adjust the effect on the fly without interrupting my playing. In electronic terms the repetition is actually a volume fluctuation applied to the sound wave forms. So they are very different musical terms and techniques. The misnomer goes both ways, with some modern electrical tremolo devices masquerading as vibrato units! What does a Tremolo Pedal do?In recent years we see square waves which can actually deaden the sound signal completely if the depth is maximized. Basically the various tremolo effects are achieved via a battle between volume and frequency, it is one of the most widely used modulations by electric guitar players across multiple genres. With less frequency the volume rises and falls more slowly, causing a slower effect.

The “Wave” knob allows you to modify the Low-Frequency Oscillator (LFO) waveform from a triangle shape to a square one, while the “Depth” knob lets you control the intensity of the effect.

After trying out the Dunlop MXR Tremolo Effects Pedal, I can confidently say it’s an impressive piece of gear with various tremolo styles. After dynamic pedals, come filters, such a wah. These pedals significantly affect the tone of the guitar, and if they were placed later in the chain, they could become unpredictable as a result of them being subjected to many other effects. As a guitar player, you should realize that there is an abundance of ways to alter the sound that your guitar produces. You can easily adjust the amp, but you may be interested in something more dramatic. If so, you will definitely want to consider investing in a good pedal. Pedals are capable of producing an assortment of effects, including delay, reverb and many others. Joyo Audio has established itself as one of the leading manufacturers of guitar pedals. So, if you’re looking for one of the best Joyo pedals, you are truly a wise individual. In my experience, the Ibanez Tremolo Mini Pedal is a fantastic addition to any guitarist’s collection.
