Well I binged this book because I COULD NOT get enough of these two. I loved it beyond words. And it wholly surpassed my expectations.The lesson you get at the end of a novel can vary widely depending on the book you read. Some novels are explicitly designed to teach a specific lesson, while others may leave the interpretation up to the reader. One thing that did bug me though was Eloise's parents. I understand that they didn't want her to be taken advantage of by others, but I definitely agreed with Jasper about how they treated her. Whilst they may not have been doing it deliberately, it clearly affected Eloise enough to make her feel like she wasn't enough and even though Jasper might not have expressed it in the best way every-time, it was sweet to see him trying to be on her side.

don't even get me started on the fking creep named frank. i was honestly petrified every time he said "cutie" EW please don't. anyway, this was so anticlimactic. all the boring as shit build up up to literally 80% of the book, just for me to put it together before anything happens. so disappointing.

I am pretty sure Jasper could seduce a tree stump 🥵 I was not prepared to be hit with the spice so early on, but that is not a complaint! Except Jasper begs her to stay married. To fake it for just three months so she can accompany him to a wedding. Maybe she's lost her mind to agree. But her brooding husband seems desperate.

The murder mystery was definitely fun and I was invested but sadly it was clear to me from the beginning who the killer was because most of these murder mystery stories are built up with the exact same story line of having a really obvious person that "should be the killer". This is the fourth book in The Edens series, but like the earlier books, it can be read as a standalone. This is Eloise Eden’s story. She manages the family hotel in the small town of Quincy, Montana, and it’s her dream to one day take over ownership from her parents. A badly managed situation in the past left them hesitant to hand it over to her, and she’s been working hard ever since to prove herself as reliable and responsible. But that plan hits a snag when a trip to Las Vegas ends with a drunken wedding to Jasper Vale Book 1 follows Winslow & Griffin after a one night stand on the first night Winslow moves to Quincy, Montana. Neither of them are looking for a relationship, but the two of them can’t stay away or keep their hands off each other. Not only is the romance of this book a favorite, I also live for suspense plots and mortal peril, which Devney does so well. there also was completely NO COMMUNICATION. these characters would go like days or a week without talking WHILE LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSE. like i’m sorry but how am i suppose to root for them to be married if they cannot even communicate?? THIS WAS AFTER SHE ASKED HIM TO TRY TOO.
