About this deal

It was then I knew that I’d finally found my vocation in life. I mad very little notes, other than some character names. After I finished each chapter, the next came easy.” With the encouragement of friends, Chambers bought a copy of the Writers and Artists Year Book and scrolled through the list of agents. The protagonist, Jason, is the man living the life of crime. He is dodgy from the beginning and the tale follows as he gets involved in deeper crimes, no thanks to his inability to “keep it in his trousers”, have unfavourable friends and a terrible mother who has allowed Jason’s brothers and sister to fall into similar difficult situations. Wanting to give Jason a good slap and seeing to, it was no surprise when it is revealed that he intends to use Melissa as a means of providing a mother-figure to his daughter, Shay. Mel is in a similar situation – also a single mother – and feels Jason can fulfil the role missing from her son’s life. Plot development was predictable and obvious and, at times, a little cringe-worthy. The awkwardness of reading how Melissa’s wedding day occurred was awful and she also needed a good shake to make her realise how naive and stupid she was being. Kimberley Chambers is] the queen of the gritty, low-life tale . . .a fast-paced, thrill-a-minute ride that takes you on all sorts of twists and turns” - Bella McMullen, Marion (17 June 2015). "Crime pays for bestselling writer Kimberley Chambers". Mirror . Retrieved 18 June 2018.

Yes they are evil little brats and I’m used to KC psychopathic characters but at the same time some of their exploits made even me feel a bit uncomfortable and apprehensive. Kenny bond is The Family Man, we meet him banged up in wormwood scrubs, with devoted wife Sharon’s car knowing the route there and never missing a visit. Son Donnie who’s just starting out dating tansy a coppers daughter. That’s not going to go down well…. Daughter sherrie, and of course we meet Kenny’s mates, his mother and aunt, his in-laws. And as we’d expect outlaws, not rights and shit cunts. The book takes us through the 70’s and 80’s and into the 90’s Kimberly as always sets the timeline brilliantly.

Kenny Bond. A murderer. A gangster. A good family man.

Iki dabar nebuvau skaičiusi dar nei vienos šios autorės knygos. Nusprendžiau, jog dabar yra tinkamas metas pažinčiai. Tikrai sudomino šio psichologinio trilerio anotacija, tad nieko nelaukdama ėmiau skaityti 📖 So what are the new Kimberley Chambers books releasing in 2022 or beyond? No one, and I repeat, no one, in this novel appears to be straight. The whole cast are crooked, criminals, “chancers” if you life – all committing some form of deception and involved in a type of illegal activity. And if they don’t fall into this category, then they are off performing adultery: none of the characters appear to have a loyal bone in their body. Frustratingly, the females all fall under the male spell and are forever weak and in need of “saving” – sexually or physically. All in all, it felt so dated and cliched that this was one of the main reasons that the novel lost my interest. (This book was published last year, so I can only imagine that the retroactive attitudes are supposed to reflect Melissa’s traditional upbringing?) The book is really well written, everything seems chaotic when we hear one story then straight onto another, but they do all make sense. Donny ends up having twins boys, Beau and Brett, with years later something terrible happening to one of them which is the course for some bad things occurring going forward. It's full of relationship dramas, blended families, mixed cultures, murders, lots of drama! It was good to read how the story came together with all the different characters, and if one thing is clear throughout the book is that Kenny is most definitely a family man, and will do anything....anything for his family.

The Future for Kimberley Chambers and Payback

Probably the first thing to note is that this book is gritty realism at its best and that includes swearing and violence. If this isn't something you particularly like then maybe this isn't the book for you. Having said that, it's not something that bothers me and I think it adds to the realism of the characters and setting. Our bookworms are adding upcoming Kimberley Chambers books 2022 as soon as they're announced, giving you less searching and more reading time. Both families are a part of the seedy underbelly of the East End and Stratford. Jessica Smith and Eddie Mitchell become engaged, against the wishes of Jessica’s father. The two are swept away into a world of crime, murder, and deception. The Feud

I lay, for the next 3 days listening about Kenny Bond and his wife, about the twins, and their mum (poor cow) the travellers, the marchioness disaster and the onset of that terrible drug ecstacy which I remembered so well. I instantly grew to like Kenny, I didn’t much like the twins Bean and Bret’s mother, the twins are one’s through and through just like their grandfather Kenny. The epic new thriller from the No.1 bestselling Queen of Gangland crime!Kenny Bond. A murderer. A gangster. A good family man.Meet the Bonds This is the first book I’ve read from this author and definitely won’t be the last! I found it addictive and like a drug, I wanted more and more! With her mother dead and father in prison, Frankie Mitchell goes to live with her fiancé Jed O’Hara. When her daughter is born, her fiancé’s mother becomes domineering and overbearing. Meanwhile, Frankie ignores the rumors that her beloved fiancé is cheating on her.So this is a different kind of story from Chambers, still skulduggery, crime, relationship woes and some very steamy/graphic sexual scenes. However, she doesn't fall into the formulaic pattern some writers do when they write a fair amount of books of the same genre. The characters are fresh, the story lines hook you from the get go and provoke emotions and responses from the reader, well it did for me. Fury at how Melissa is treated by a few of her so called loved ones and friends. The story is original, fresh, keeps you on the edge of your seat to find out what skulduggery is coming next. The story starts off with one very intriguing prologue told from Jason’s point of view introducing himself. I was left thinking OMG how different is this. We then follow his story of Life of Crime told from third person perspective.Where we meet some very different characters. Some that you will like and of course some that you wont like. It wouldn't be a Kimberly Chambers book if it didn't have some bad guys in it. I was hooked by every chapter and was anticipating hope the twins would grow up and how they’d turn out.
