I used a cookie scoop to ensure that each one is approximately the same size. This makes them all uniform. While the pop tarts are baking, make the glaze by mixing together the powdered sugar, non-dairy milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. This will make it so much simpler to dip into the melted candy melts. They will look smoother and have a nicer finish.

Preheat the oven to 350 F and prep two 9” cake tins or one 9”x13” pan by greasing them with butter or vegetable oil. So I suggest you college kids to use store bought cake mix, but I obv made my own. I used the Smitten Kitchen recipe. Or, leave them to cool a little while you make the glaze by mixing together the powdered sugar and a little hot water or milk until you have a dollop-able consistency.
