The final issue of 52 (2008) designates the Kingdom Come alternate universe as Earth-22, thus making the Ibn al Xu'ffasch version of Bruce and Talia's son part of the DC Multiverse. Justice Society of America vol. 3 #22 (2009) reveals that he would eventually marry Nightstar with whom he would have a daughter and son, and his family has inherited the Wayne Estates after Batman's death. As of age 13, Damian was short for his age and had few other markers of impending puberty. In Super Sons, it was a running joke that he was frequently mistaken as younger than ten-year-old Jon Kent.

In League of Batmen (2001), the sequel to Brotherhood of the Bat, Tallant leads his own team of variant Batmen to combat the plague that was al Ghul's legacy. During the battle, Tallant discovers that his grandfather is the one who murdered his father and then cloned him. Ra's even sent the clone to murder his own daughter. Because of the deaths of his parents at Ra's's hands, Tallant has completed following his father's tragic path as Batman. The relationship goes far beyond a temporary alliance to find the killer of a scientist in Gotham. This is an opportunity to bring his brand of justice beyond the narrow confines of Gotham, to the whole world. In every review of BSOTD I’ve read, this deception is understood as Talia’s way to protect Batman. “ Killed. He was almost killed… he may yet be… all because he is trying to protect me,” she thinks at one point. But that makes no sense—even if Talia loves Batman and doesn’t want him hurt, why would Ra’s agree to send Batman away? Ra’s has put his own child, his many wives, and countless followers in danger for centuries. He wouldn’t change his mind just because Batman is willing to die for his grandchild. Isn’t that exactly what all of the characters are doing in this book? Putting their lives at risk? Also, isn’t this why Talia & Ra’s brought Batman into the organization in the first place? To marry Talia? To father a child? And to become the Demon’s Head! Batman: Birth of the Demon collects the three Ra’s Al-Ghul books Son/Bride/Birth of the Demon. I give Son 3 stars and the others 1 star so I’ll give this collection a generous overall score of 2 stars. I reviewed each book individually below - enjoy!

Justice League: Generation Lost #14 shows another alternate future for Damian Wayne, this time taking place over 100 years in the future.

The three stories were collected before — in softcover in 2012, but that edition is long out of print. Talia was the only child and daughter of Melisande and Ra's al Ghul, leader of a secret worldwide organization. Unfortunately, Talia witnessed the murder of her mother at an early age, at the hands of a man called Quinlan, the orphaned godson of Ra's, who had raised him as his own. [1]

BSOD is curious artifact. It struggles to bring adult themes and situations into a fantasy world created mostly for children. This tension created a lot of interesting subtext and unintended consequences. Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.Interestingly enough, this story wasn't considered canon until years later when writer Grant Morrison and artist Andy Kubert brought Damian into their Batman run - more on that momentarily.
