About this deal

Wagner Control Pro 170’s maximum hose length is 30 feet, while Graco X5’s maximum hose length is 75 feet. Disconnect the suction and the return hoses, release the inlet ball valve that is situated at the bottom, and try priming again. The overspray is absolutely no where near what I had feared. In fact, it's no worse than the FLEXiO 590 was doing when I was spraying a thinner primer. I'm using a .015 tip which is the minimum for the latex I'm using. If you have a lot of rooms to paint, then YOU NEED THIS. Don't waste your time on the handheld models! Between drying for the doors and rooms I just wipe the tip off and so far, I've had no gunking issues. It is nice to take a break without having to strip down and clean the entire unit. Like the other models, it has an airtight system, making it possible to spray in all directions, even upside down. Simply twist the nozzle to switch it from a horizontal to a vertical spray and vice versa.

Please complete the warranty form and attach several photos that show the problem clearly. Your request will be handled immediately. Airless device no longer works To utilize a Range of Materials, This paint sprayer has the ability to apply interior and exterior paints, stains, 2-in-1 paints and primers, latex, and oil enamel straight from the can. Variable power is included on this machine, but it stumbles slightly as we start to get into the details. Priming with this machine is a bit more hassle, as it doesn’t feature the same easy priming ability you’ll find on the Graco. The next issue emerges during the cleanup when you’ll have to do it manually rather than hooking up the hose to the machine. Finally, there’s no reversible tip, so this machine is slightly more of a pain when it comes to unclogging. The tool can spray stains and unthinned paint and is suitable for painting various surfaces, including sheds, garages, porches, doors, and ceilings. It may be that you were supplied with a standard Airless nozzle holder on or with your gun extension. HEA (High Efficiency Airless) nozzles have a slightly different size, as a result of which yours may not fit. Instead of the standard Airless nozzle holder, screw your HEA gun nozzle holder onto the gun extension. With this holder, your HEA nozzle should fit instantly. Wagner Control Pro 150 Review: Highlighted features

Higher weight compared to the Wagner Control Pro 170, which can cause fatigue during extended painting sessions. While the Wagner Control Pro 170 has its merits, the Graco X5’s superior pressure capability, precision, and professional-grade performance made it the sprayer that ultimately worked best for me. Its ability to handle a wide range of materials and consistently produce high-quality finishes made it my preferred choice for a variety of painting projects. While the top spot was taken by the Graco Magnum X5, the Wagner Control Pro 170 deserves mention as the runner up for the best overall. This machine is similar but doesn’t quite match the Magnum X5 in terms of reliable performance.

Taking a look at the numbers, you’re actually getting a touch more performance on paper with the Wagner Control Pro 170. This machine is capable of running an 80ft hose and features a slightly higher max flow rate of 0.33 gal/min. That’s a result of a slightly powerful motor, at 0.6hp, compared to the 0.5 in the Graco. What makes the Graco Magnum X5 stand out, however, is the details in the extra features. First up, you have a hose connection system to make cleaning the machine much easier. Secondly, you have variable pressures, which allow you to fine-tune the machine to whatever your application and the paint you are using. The next most important thing to think about is cleaning. Paint sprayer easily becomes clogged, and most of the time that’s because they aren’t properly cleaned. Failing to clean and keep up maintenance for the machine can seriously shorten its life. Secondly, more power means you can run longer hoses, which is essential for outdoor work, especially if you’re working on a roof or away from the sprayer. You’ll notice that machines less than 0.6hp will typically require 60ft hoses or less. Cleaning Drawing directly from an original paint can or container — there’s no need to fill the machine. Additionally, an incorporated inlet filter prevents detritus and debris from entering the pump — reducing the likelihood of obstructions, damage, and ensuring a clean finish. The FLEXIO 590 is an upgrade of the initial FLEXIO 570. While the 570 has only two speed settings, this one has an adjustable dial with more speed options. It also sprays more gallons per minute and comes with a second nozzle for a more detailed finish.
