About this deal

Esther and Nik continue to be point of view characters but are joined by Meg, a ship person from Esther’s past and Janek, the ambitious Admiral from the first book. The addition of Janek, is interesting as it gives more of an idea of why the Federated Stated have decided to treat the ship- people as they do but also refuse to allow them to migrate somewhere else. There is also some light shed on how the Federated States treats their own citizens as well.

The Warband consists of a vampiric Necromancer – with an incredibly creepy mouthless flesh mask for a face – and his 6 arcwalker minions; Bault, Coyl, Ione, Vlash and Regulus. A thrilling sequel to The Stranded! Full of edge-of-the-seat drama, action and intense emotions - The Exiled continues Esther's, Nik's and the inhabitants of Arcadia's stories. Fifty years on from the exodus, The Exiled draws on first-hand interviews and testimonies, including from the author's family, to illuminate a time of painful alienation and incredible courage. As an entire people stepped into the unknown, a global diaspora was born, and the fate of the United Kingdom changed forever.Finnish Kati Hiekkapelto deserves her growing reputation as her individual writing identity is subtly unlike that of her colleagues’ Barry Forshaw, Financial Times Today is the final story timeline release. For those that haven’t followed along, we have been releasing bits of the story and lore behind The Exiled weekly, leading up to last week’s launch. Take the action of Marko Kloos' Frontlines novels, mix in the intricate world building of Game of Thrones or Warhammer 40,000, and light the fuse . . . . Bursting with snappy dialogue and detail and furious with action , you’ll want to catch your breath when it’s over, and then you’ll want more . Bring it on.” A lyrical and penetrating examination of what happened to one family and the Ugandan Asians more broadly" - Giles Foden, author of THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND Diplomacy System: Clan leaders and managers can now add other clans to a “friend” and “enemy” lists. Clan members will then see those friend and enemy tags and be able to easily recognize your clan’s status with another clan. These tags are NOT visible to anyone outside of your clan. They are one-directional (the other clan can choose a different status for you).

Our efforts during the last months did not have a significant impact on this. Survival Mode was interesting but not good enough. So here is what has to happen: The Exiled: Empire, immigration and how Ugandan Asians changed Britain will be a narrative history with memoir elements, collating first-person experiences of the exodus from Uganda and the global resettlement. Overall, I enjoyed this duology very much and can’t wait to see what to read more from this author soon. Survival mode also comes with a gameplay tweak that you already know from our "world end" event: On Survival Mode worlds you will have a limited amount of lives. Every time your character dies, you lose a life. And if you run out of lives, you have to take a break from playing. You're out of the game. But of course we will make sure that lives are not suuuper scarce and that they refill over time (current plans: 6 lives max and you get 3 new lives per day). And we will make sure to give new players a lot of extra lives so they can find into the game (which requires some extra dying) before they run out of lives. This small change will make PvP a lot more adrenaline-filled as it currently is and that is exactly how we want the game to be.

Overall this Duology has a great series of characters, a compelling drive towards escape and freedom and brilliant writing. I did slightly prefer the claustrophobic nature of book one but this was a strong conclusion which upped the stakes from fighting the Coalies on the ship to battling the whole Federated States and a lot of evil individuals along the way. The ending was both hopeful for our characters and disappointing for society - because humans never learn from our mistakes and seem doomed to repeat them! Drawing on first-hand interviews and informed by Lucy’s personal experience, the book uncovers untold stories of resilience and illuminates an essential chapter in British history, in which immigrants reshaped society. It weaves together diverse immigrant stories – including the author’s family’s – to give a fresh understanding of this period’s legacy.

We often get the request that we should do away with limited server lifetimes, add more PvE content to the game, more interesting mobs, quests, dungeons and a proper storyline, increase the size of the game worlds and add more concurrent players to each world. We are not going to do that. Why? One reason is purely practical and financial. We are a tiny, independent team with a very limited budget. We just cannot pay for the hundred of thousands of hours that go into the creation of large game worlds full of PvE content. We also think that we do not have to do that. There are already hundreds or large MMOs out there that deliver exactly that kind of "adventure in a huge world" experience. And we neither can nor want to compete with them on this experience. Both our team and our technology setup has not been designed for this approach and it never will be. An edgy and insightful chiller with a raw and brooding narrative. Skilfully plotted and beautifully written, Hiekkapelto has given us an excellent and suspenseful crime novel’ Craig Robertson

Journeying across continents and decades, this staggering work of reportage illuminates an essential, and under-explored, chapter in post-colonial history, challenging politically expedient narratives to uncover the true fate of minorities at the end of empire. I was once a high-ranking Castlian knight, but I was banished for not following through on an execution... now I wander Magius in search of criminals to slay, both as a way to take out my frustration, and in hopes of one day redeeming myself..." This month a lot of our dev time was spent on upgrading the project to the latest version 5.6 of the Unity game engine powering the game client. This is going to improve performance for many players and fix a lot of smaller bugs with rendering. It will also make future development easier for us.
