The characters in Ane Naru Mono are fun. Chiyo is a demon who’s been summoned by Yuu to be his older sister. She’s trying her best to be an older sister. You see her fail some common, normal things and get upset about it. It’s really fun and cute to see her try to be the best older sister she can. Chiyo is a mysterious, kind and cheerful girl who is actually a demonic lovecraftian entity that Yuu accidentally summoned in his uncle's basement. She grants Yuu the wish of becoming his elder sister. She has been revered as a goddess, demon, and even monster during her existence but only Yuu has mistaken her for an angel.The characters are a joy to see them interact. Chiyo's character has more to her than meets the eye, and is certainly the one I like the most. She has some perverse tendancies, however...

The English title "Elder Sister Like One" can be read as referring to Chiyo's identity as Yuu's Adoptive Cool Big Sis or as an Eldritch Abomination.Ane Naru Mono is quite a famous ecchi manga. It’s a manga series that’s been adapted from a doujin of the same name.

Haru is also shown to have originally been an undulating mass of eyes, organs and teeth before taking on her current form based on Ryou's Lost Lenore. Given Haru's example, it's heavily implied that even when she's at her most monstrous, this is also true of Chiyo, with her Humanoid Abomination appearance being the result of taking on a form similar to a human she knew in the distant past, in a conscious effort to avoid breaking the mind of whoever might summon her. due to it being spoilers. There are a few plot points and dark moments that feel forgotten about though, which is unfortunate since they seem interesting. Hopefully, they do go into them later in the manga.
