If you have the screen off and the volume down, an LED bar will activate when noise is heard. The monitor's built-in speakers are very tinny, but they're more than sufficient for listening for important sounds like crying. Simpler Than a Smart Monitor The camera itself is compact and looks a little bit wobbly; we were surprised at how well it worked in testing, though. A Throwback Design
We are tempted to recommend the LeFun Fi368 camera to more people, but there’s basically one thing stopping us: Wi-Fi itself. We love the Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO. For parents looking for a traditional-style baby monitor with excellent features, reliability, and quality, we think this is the perfect option. This also applies to the audio. You cannot hear the sound coming in from all the cameras. The parent unit can only let you access the audio of the camera you’re viewing from. Can you add on camera to the Infant Optics DXR-8? Answer: Press and hold the PAIR key underneath the camera unit for at least 3 seconds. The LED light will flash green to indicate that the camera is in pairing mode. On your parent monitor unit, you will see the new camera appearing in the add camera menu. Just select the new camera and you’re done. Audio quality on baby monitors is pretty terrible, but that’s partly because the conditions are worst-case-possible: the microphone is relatively far away from what you’re trying to hear, and you can’t really filter or prioritize frequencies like telephones do.
