About this deal

Nothing special about the build, with it being made out of plastic, it’s solid but don’t drop it since it’s heavy. It has quite a few safety tech features but it doesn’t stop charging automatically even though it says it does. The Juice Power Station boasts a lithium battery with a charging capacity of 11,200mAh. For me, that's plenty: enough juice to provide more than six smartphone charges, or fully charge an iPad Air. If you need more power on your weekend away, you might need to do something about your screen usage... The use of the power capacity display is really helpful because it gives a more accurate reading than just LED dots and features like these need to be become more prevalent, just how the Lumina 15,000mAh uses it as well. The iMuto has a max Input recharge speed of 2 Amps, so you’re going to have to use a 2 Amp wall charger if you want it to charge that fast. Running out of juice, and therefore being unable to access Google Maps, is no longer a viable excuse for standing someone up or missing a conference call.

It takes around three hours to charge from empty (considerably less time than the Juice Power Station), and once charged, Belkin says its tests show that charge will not diminish by more than 50pc even after a year’s time left dormant – all very impressive, and useful. The power capacity of the iMuto power bank is 20,000mAh and you can expect a pretty close Output capacity near the same since the charging speed isn’t that fast. Versatility is also worth considering – for example, can you use the charger for multiple devices? What devices is it compatible with? Does it offer pass-through charging (which means you can charge the bank itself, while using it to charge a connected device)?

More Accuracy with the LCD Display

Multiple Smart Protection System: We use high quality A-Class Lithium polymer batteries, together with multiple smart protection technology, to keep your devices safe from over-charging, over-voltage, over-current, and short circuit Charging 2 tablets at the same time may lower their charging speed to 1.5A each with the max output being 3.1A though. Input Charging: 5V/2.0A So connecting a tablet to this power bank would give it the priority to charge near its max speed and if a smartphone is connected, then it would receiveabout 1 Amp charging speed. The best idea that Duracell have had with their power banks is their "pay for what you need strategy". They've released three power banks ranging in size from 3k to 10k. The former will give you one or two charges while the biggest will give you up to five.

The two USB ports mean that you can charge two devices at once. It offers pass-through charging and cleverly, the efficient circuitry prioritizes charging your connected device first and then funnels the extra energy to your IonBank itself at the same time, so you get the optimum run time out of the time you have spent plugged in.

Size and Weight

One of the ports can output 5V/2.1A which is near the max charging rate of 2.4A and the other port delivers a rather slow charge at 5V/1.0A. Ultimately, both of the ports can output 2.1A, but only one at a time; and the max output is 3.1A. Wise deployment of airplane mode – when you're watching a set, sleeping or charging – will go a long way. But what does make it seem large is the weight at 1 pound. It’s a heavy power bank that may look small but it’s going to be cumbersome to carry around and as result, you’re going to want to set it down if you want to use it.

The output of this power bank isn’t bad at all, but it could be better with a max output of 4.8A and that would then allow 2 tablets to charge at their max speeds. It's still working just as well as it did when I first bought it. I've been so happy with it we decided to buy another one for our upcoming Disney trip. I definitely recommend this charger to anyone who asks! The iMuto takes a little bit of a different path when it comes to its design because most high capacity portable chargers take the long length kind of form factor but the iMuto is more short and stubby. There are two payoff to all this. The first is that the product is more complicated to use than the Power Station or Belkin – you need to take care to get the right cable in the right slot (an exhaustive instruction manual makes this easy, if somewhat time consuming, to learn). Meanwhile, lithium-sulphur batteries might be a more practical stepping stone: they’re less expensive to make, weigh less and store almost twice the energy of lithium-ion batteries, and are better for the environment. However, sulphur is a poor electrical conductor, so the technology still needs developing. You can find the two USB charging Output ports on the short side, a flashlight between the 2 Output ports, on one long side is where the Micro-USB Input is and the on the other long side is where the power button is. If you’re recharging it at 2 Amps, then a full recharge will take about 12-13 hours. Anything lower than 2 Amps, like a 1 Amp wall charger, and it’s going to take a full 24 hours to recharge it. Similar Power Bank This year, a team at the University of Texas at Dallas published findings in the journal Nature Nanotechnology to show that they will soon be commercially viable, since molybdenum – a metallic element often used to strengthen and harden steel – can be combined with sulphur to improve stability and compensate for poor conductivity.
