About this deal

I don’t tend to touch much LEGO Ninjago related stuff, although I do appreciate their creativity and great looking sets, it’s just I’m not that into it as a theme. I definitely want to see more incredible minifigures like this 1992 Batman be available in more accessible and budget-friendly formats like this polybag, so hopefully LEGO see how well-received this polybag is. The rest of the polybag constructs a small piece of rooftop for Batman to stand on as he looks out over Gotham City and broods in the darkness. Even though build time is not really a thing with this polybag, you nonetheless get a small structure to assemble. It is a little display base for Batman. The gargoyle on it is identical to those on the display bases for the 1989 Batmobile, the 1989 Batwing, and the Batmobile Tumbler. Consequently they display well near each other. However, they do not connect, which would be a neat feature. You can modify them easily enough so they all line up though. This particular base would look better if it had a consistent look and texturing all around. With that said this is certainly a nice display base. Let’s go with 90% for the build. Batman 1992 on your left, Batman 1989 on your right. MINIFIGURE: 97%

The LEGO Marvel Doctor Strange’s Interdimensional Portal (30652) polybag comes in at 44 pieces. It features a minifigure version of Doctor Strange that can also be found on other Multiverse of Madness sets, such as the Gargantos Showdown (76205) and the Sanctum Sanctorum (76218). It may be a little hard to find, as polybag distributions aren’t the most consistent, but if you manage to spot one at your local LEGO Store, or if you’re in the US and are close to a Target or Barnes & Noble, I’d definitely recommend getting this, especially if you plan on skipping the Batcave Shadow Box.

This exclusive assortment boasts a menagerie of animals, an array of minifigure accessories, and a treasure trove of versatile pieces, including a duo of enchanting purple space helmets, medieval armor helmets, and a magician’s cap.

The Kai and Rapton Minifigures looks great and both have something worth mentioning. Kai has double-sided face printing, a standard face on one side and a masked face on the other, the all-over red hood piece is also a nice accessory to have. If you recall, the new LEGO Creator polybags included in this upcoming March release were already revealed earlier this January, with the exception of the Quidditch Practice and McLaren Solus GT. As mentioned above it’s the moulded cape piece that really sells this Polybag, it’s just so cool. For a fully rubber element it is strong and durable and the Bat-logo printing is crisp and bright. I found the Batman 1992 (30653) polybag at Toys R Us. My local store had no shortage of them and I bought more than one. Who knows? Maybe I’ll do a giveaway in the future when the product retires and becomes hard to find. In any case, while most of the Summer 2023 Batman sets hit store shelves in August, this one is out now along with the Batcave Shadowbox. From what I can tell in the images, the Shadowbox Batman minifigure is the same as the polybag version. Both differ from the Batman minifigs coming in August, which look more like a standard Batman minifig with some ’89-esque printing. Polybag Specifics However, the moulded detail on the combined cape and cowl element remains unaltered, with sharp lines around the eyes and texture on the cape. The transition between the cowl and the cape looks particularly striking, as the material appears to change. Furthermore, the shape of the cape works perfectly for a minifigure on display, as though billowing in the wind.
