Do not take this product for anything other than its intended use (see section 1) and never take more than the recommended amount (see section 3). Serious heart problems (symptoms of which include fast or irregular heartbeat) have been reported in patients who have taken too much loperamide, the active ingredient in this medicine. Allergic reactions including swelling of the face, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing,unexplained wheezing, shortness of breath whichmay be accompanied by skin rash or hives. As with all laxatives, Galpharm Constipation Relief 5mg Tablets should not be taken on a continuous daily basis for more than five days without investigating the cause of constipation. It comes as tablets, including tablets that melt on your tongue, capsules and a liquid. The liquid is only available on prescription. The tablets that melt are called Imodium Instants or Imodium Instant Melts
