Vee is dealing with shit at home since her sister is an upcoming star who has all of her mother’s attention. I love when a book can give you so my secondary characters that does not take away from the main characters. But then when some stupid girl threatens Xav, he acts like a fucking coward and complies with what she says? She was willing to lose everything to protect the man she loved even if it meant she might never truly get to keep him.He treats her really well but he makes the worst choices and takes on himself the burderns of his parents. I also loved the way she transformed over the course of the book into a woman who knew what she wanted - or didn't want - and wasn't afraid to go for it.

They wanted to play some card drinking game that would end up having the people passing cards with their mouths and making out. In a fit of anger Vee lashes out in a letter to a teacher she abhors; a letter which is intercepted by non-other that her childhood enemy Xavier. This was very disappointing, especially since Love and Zac (aka Vee and Xavier) had such a great dynamic. Xavier for example is dealing with troubles at home which is making him act out in ways that he wouldn’t otherwise. I honestly had no clue how things would turn out at certain points, and I couldn't read fast enough to find out!What if when Xavier finds out that it's been Aveena, the girl who he bullied when they were kids that he's been talking to, and she's been right under his nose this whole time? You will hate the choices they make and some of the things they do, but, for me, it added a level of humanity to them. I also do not like NA romance where the characters are about to go to college and they are talking about babies.
