About this deal

I don’t want to offend anyone, it’s okay to like what you like, but why the hell was this something people were recommending? and at one point, i was continuing reading it purely on the basis that never in my life have i read ANYTHING like it. It also does its hardest to slut shame women, but I mean, what do I expect from a book that is literally depicting an abusive relationship with ZERO self awareness? I did not understand the whole inner darkness of Garrett and Diesel, just psycho dudes thrown at your face for no reason, the girl deserved them, she’s the most annoying one. Storyline/My Thoughts: I’m going to admit, too, that this book was not a favorite, but I did like some aspects of it.

Foi meu primeiro harém reverso, só tinha lido um trisal, então fiquei muito empolgada com esse nova forma de "amar".Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. However, she has given us some amazing characters, with complex pasts who are villains you’ll likely fall in love with. The grimy- but the baseline in many of those books is that the bad guy isn't REALLY bad, he just fell into the family business/wrong crowd and has a complex of not showing his sweet side due to the trauma of working as he is/needing to be tough to maintain his image to his clan/gang/whatever. Being trap in their world, Roxy gets to know each brother and their demons just as they get to know hers. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started.

Also, I appreciated how the author did not design the FMC to waver from her bruteness, rebelliousness, and strong-headed nature. My nerves were hanging on by a thread, like an adrenaline junky needing that next fix, my foot was tapping, my heart was out of beat, my hands were clammy, loving that electrical surge making me read faster. at one point the “nice” guy of the bunch rapes roxy and the psychopath guy can’t believe she would even think to blame the nice guy. There's no peeling back the layers to figure out why Roxy is this way--or the guys are--for that matter.

We're told over and over how bad-ass the mafia dudes are and how special the heroine is because she's not like other girls and wears biker girl clothes, and it took me right back to the heydeys of Quizilla in the early 2000s with all of those "pick me" goth girl heroines.I will throw in that most people that recommended this book read physical copies, so maybe it is because of the creepy old man and his terrible narration (especially Diesel's voice). But yeah, not sure if this is just an actually shit book, or if I just stumbled too far down the rabbit hole.
