This cocktail is inspired by the Cuban song " Lagrimas Negras " that tells the story of a young woman who sobbed into a vat of rum, filling it with her sorrow.

It's very much pronounced, that I'm, oh, the aftertaste, I'm getting a little bit of pepper on there, coming down now.

Then, added to that, is very little, to no sugar at all, so quite the opposite to a lot of spiced rums. It carries a gentle sweetness that complements its toasty and roasted flavors, creating a harmonious and sophisticated drinking experience.
