It's actually something I'm used to from Oudh containing fragrances where the ingrediënt plays a main role. So they say don't judge a book by it's cover and that is the first thing ill say about this fragrance. As the sillage opens up, I get some dry woody notes, and again I'm struck by the sweetness of the vanilla. Look I’m not an expert so maybe I was just picking up the oud in each frag, but I’d say this definitely smells a lot more like Oud Save The King than it does By The Fireplace. It's definitely smoky, but there's enough sweetness to keep me from feeling like I've escaped a house fire.It's got saffron noticeably but it's not screechy, plasticky or off-putting for me like it is in other Lattafa fragrances. It lasts throughout the entire day on me, I have to scrub it off after a shower since I do still smell it.

Almost reminds me of cinnamon toast being cooked in an ultra clean break room of a Reynold's Wrap factory. If you like sweet - gourmand fragrances, you will enjoy this fragrance from the first spray to the empty bottle. For example, you smell all the most popular Aventus dupes, which I've owned, and none smell identical to the Creed fragrance. I cant say that you get what you paid for, because this fragrance is really cheap, but projects like 150€ fragrance.There is something a bit harsh on this one thats only noticeable to me when I put my nose right to my wrist.

Both fragrances are still detectable on my arm, the Replica is barely there, whereas the Lattafa is much more present. This is one of my favorite wearable western/eastern oud fragrances (it's slightly more oudy than m7 oud). Each comparison is like revisiting an old friend, familiar yet always revealing some new, hidden feature. I cannot detect oud nor vanilla (at least at first, not sure how this develops as I couldn’t even bear wearing it for 5 minutes).That is on par in quality, sillage and projection with Armani's (6 times more expensive) Stronger With You?

just a press-fit (no snap) of nicely clear lexan/plexiglass with three faux gems installed on the top. People say that this is a by the fireplace clone which I can see the resemblance but this is its own fragrance. So if u can just ignore the opening of this fragrance (it's very ambery strong and something a little weird, reminded me of Bentley Intense lmao) then I 100% recommend atleast trying it. This fragrance presents a beautiful yet linear scent profile; what you spray is exactly what you get. I wish I smelled what most people do, I can see the parts of this fragrance that are enjoyable like the sweetness.Where i live even the winters are hot, but if you live in a cool place/intend to be at a cold place for your event, and enjoy really sweet perfumes, you can rock this so hard. I like to spray this on the back of my hands and the tops of my knees so I can smell wafts of it throughout the day. when it comes to the comparison to BTF, gotta admit, drydown is way better here, also this one lasts longer. The scent's character shines in the crisp air, its smokey and woody notes creating an alluring trail, reminiscent of a mystical journey through time and space. The woody notes await you from the start, Oud, Calamba wood (very strong smell, used as incense) and smoke, are the saturated top notes.
