About this deal

Utterly horrifying and impossible to put down—for a dozen reasons, but most of all, for how plausible the whole thing feels. it's told as a series of interviews from survivors, rescuers, people evacuated before it all went down, lawyers, the park's owner, etc. The story was excellent, the narrators were excellent and I cannot wait to read more from this author!

Glenn, the leader of the Freaks thinks he's partially to blame for the violence in the park escalating because he made them seem too scary.I felt like, no matter how the situation itself came about, the way these kids dealt with everything seemed pretty real. Additionally make sure your User-Agent is not empty and is something unique and descriptive and try again. I don't know what this says about me, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to know, but I LOVE books about people behaving badly in the face of a crisis. The author does his best Lord of the Flies homage here by having the stranded employees form their own "gangs" (i.

There's no hard evidence of who killed who and everyone defended everyone else who had charges brought against them. One journalist seeks to shed light on the truth behind the rumors and stories in the wake of the disaster and what led a group of mostly college-age students to such brutal and violent actions. The idea that these young people are used to constant stimulation, and the sudden absence of that is what makes them turn so rapidly to violence, is mentioned a few times as a theory, but it's definitely not what the story is about. collected by a man writing a book on the incident, so it has the same general shape as World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, but on a smaller scale, where you get a piece of the puzzle; one perspective of the horror, before moving on to the next fresh hell.Through a series of first-person interviews, the reader learns of the circumstances and (sometimes twisted) perspectives that led to the horrific scene found when help finally arrived. According to park policy, employees gave up their electronic devices to make FantasticLand more authentic. Since the 1970s, FanatasticLand has been a place where “Fun is Guaranteed”, where employees are chosen not just for their qualifications but their go-getter attitude. So, read this book for the killyness and bloody fun, but then get on Google and check out the Florida crime memes. It's fascinating getting to know the background of this place, and I actually think the exposition was my favourite part.

also, the warthogs, which are the absolute coolest pair in the book and were very wisely left mysterious, so their chilling ways were much more effective.Ok, so first of all, this book is told through first-person interviews with FantasticLand survivors. Hormone-Addled Teenager: A lot of the employees paired up during the early days trapped in the park but stopped at actually having sex due to having no protection. This is, ultimately, horror, but it's the 'violence ordinary people are capable of in desperate circumstances' type of horror, not the ghosts/vampires/demons kind. The big crisis in this book is the MOAH - Mother Of All Hurricanes - which smacks into the eastern coast of Florida with unprecedented force.
