About this deal

Aged for 8 years in ex American Oak Bourbon barrels which has produced a rum that has some rich Vanilla notes with hints of Coffee and Dark Chocolate.

Therefore the teams control the quality of their products, from the harvest of sugar cane to bottling, including distillation and aging. Cihuatán Indigo from El Salvador boasts a blend of chocolate, vanilla, and toffee with nutty undertones but falls short in complexity and finish.Our packaging meet all the requirements of many partner carriers, especially for international carriers.

Sustained bright yellow gold color, small frank nose with a little white chocolate, cocoa, smoky wood tip, good balance on a fairly full-bodied rum, sweetness but lack of consistency, frank character but little marked, frank product, straight but without much peculiarity or character. Vanilla and Roasted Creamy Coffee come through alongside undertones of Dark Chocolate before a Caramel like finish.Indigo’, inspired by the colour blue crafted by the ancient Maya using the Indigo Flower (anil) and also the colour of Tlaloc the Mayan God of rain. This is a very classy 8 Year Old column distilled rum from a relatively new player in the rum game, Ron Cihuatan.

From El Salvador comes the Cihuatan Indigo Rum which has been aged for a minimum of 8 years inside American Oak ex-bourbon barrels. With a patient parent company the distillery has enjoyed the luxury of time to focus on aged rums, to be enjoyed neat or mixed in your favorite cocktail. Indigo has been matured for 8 years in former bourbon barrels and delivers hints of Vanilla, Cappuccino, Dark Chocolate, Lemon grass and Hazelnut.
