I'll close this thread and hunt down a used 8200I’ve got one I seldom use, but it is begging me not to send it to Canada. Then after turning the software heaadphone to max, the big nob to max or near it , the volume was fine.

Also maybe I had a setting wrong , I’m used to dealing with soundcards via software , where as the Behringer acts more like a line mixer.

I fumbled around and found I had to tell the Behringer SPDIF 11-12 OUT in the Windows tray to the lower right.
