Curious to know if anyone is running any new fridge/freezer options in their rigs other than the big names such as ARB, Dometic, and Engel? We took the furthest in of the RIGHT side of the "fork tooth" camp site spot, which was right at the trailhead bridge. I bought a Bluetti EB70S to power an Alpicool CF45 fridge (mine is branded as a Euhomy which is the exact same thing) mounted in my truck for camping trips. It offers an "Eco" mode to save energy consumption and has good insulatory properties if you need to unplug.

Hasn't failed me yet, i want to get 3 years out of it and get my money back from square trade if it fails. All in all, though, when we consider that this model uses an average amount of energy to not get as cold as the competition, it begins to seem less impressive. Unfortunately, when it comes to reliable temperature control, the Alpicool isn't particularly impressive and is the worst of all the compressor models we tested.

Ive had this exact Fridge for 2 years now in pretty harsh offroad conditions in the back of my truck on a slide under a bed cover and its worked every time and kept my food cold.

But, in all the camping I have done, which is not a lot really, a few times a year, but usually in a very unbeaten path with zero amenities. I don't have a 12V socket in the back of my truck (yet) so I had to use the one located waaay up front in the dash. I ended up getting a 12v extension which has a shorter input lead that stays in my 12v plugs in the van while travelling.It took nearly an entire day to reach refrigeration temperatures, and even then it stopped and maintained temperatures a full 3°F warmer than we'd programmed it to. The bright display screen shows lots of information, including some battery-monitoring information that we appreciate. But if you want an option for infrequent use and only need fridge temps (not freezer), it's a pretty decent choice.
