We follow our two main characters Knox Grayson and Ava Harris, two high school seniors who can’t stand one another. Being back at Camden prep was a big step for Ava, but she also wanted to show everyone that nothing could tear her down, that nothing was comparable to the pain she endured that night. Not only does she have to deal with the fallout of the scandal, but she has to deal with the Sharks - the ruling rich kids of the school. People have different viewpoints and tastes, so stop criticising me because I trashed your favourite book. The opening chapter was certainly the hook that drew me in and if I wasn't so desperately in need of sleep I would have listened to this story straight through.Anyways, Ava had to deal with some nasty people and to top it all off, she had to deal with Know Grayson, the quarterback and popular guy at Camden Prep.

The way the students were treating Ava was unfair and made me angry for her, like I was wanting to throw my fists at anyone who wanted to mess with Ava! On the other hand, there is Knox Grayson perfectly privileged, rich dad, good looks, captain of the football team, worshiping girls at his feet.

I turn to the side and let him see the orange creature rising up into the sky, red flames in its trail. She just has to survive her last year of high school around all the kids who try to intimidate her with their dismissive, superior attitudes. will he get his own book with Camilla (h's dorm neighbor who was also sexually assaulted by the same rapist)? Being good enough, being loved, thinking of the future with trepidation, trying to figure out how to juggle every conflicting emotion.

Dear Ava is quite a special teen romance book that will have you feeling so deeply for characters who have seen and struggled with way more than anyone ever should during their eighteen years of life. Learning their mother’s story was heartbreaking, and then knowing how she had been the cause of Knox’s scar and what she said about him being ugly – again I was just gutted.about the book, the H was such a dear (one of them soft heroes), but i’d appreciate it if he never wrote a love letter to a girl ever again. Anyway, I didn't hate it, the plot was definitely interesting and different and the MC is swoony AF, but this one wasn't my favorite. They start to flirt and soon they are both revealing each other's traumatic past and they can't help but fall in love deeply.

I absolutely love when a book can handle heavy topics in a way that doesn’t leave me just feeling sick.Knox was the more mysterious character but I loved getting to dig into him and his past and learn all about it. Ava is a hard worker (school and jobs) and attends Camden Prep (the bane of her existence) due to a scholarship. Ava wakes up in the woods after a bonfire party with a hangover and the realization that she has been brutally raped and left in the woods. Both the hero and heroine and even the hero's brother have a lot they come to terms with in this book.
