The Champagne Cooler which is made from hand-beaten Copper is perfect for summer, keeping your bubbly and beers cool. Coppers that come into contact with water, such as copper teapots, mugs, and pitchers, do not require tin. Maybe Superman can leap tall buildings in a single bound but that isn't much help when dinner is ready and you forgot to put wine in the fridge.

Simply put, the Peltier Effect occurs when you run electricity through two dissimilar metals or through two dissimilar semi-conductor materials which causes one side to become hot and the other to become cold. Keeping beverages cold for an extended period of time increases your cold storage costs above the basic cost to chill the beverage. Whether they fizz over (liquid comes out of the container) depends on how quickly CO2 comes out of solution. The inventors are Greg Loibl, and his co-advisors, Irv Brazinsky and George Sidebotham, both tenured Cooper Union faculty members.
