About this deal

I’m from the northeast and I don’t reach for this as much because I find this to be a transition fragrance, end of summer/early fall, sometimes to cookouts during summer, but alot of times I find myself picking other fragrances over this one because I feel theyre better fit for the occasion. Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Absolu Instinct Men EDP opens with a moderate projection of citrus, seaweed, and woody notes. While still citrus heavy the pear dulls the various citruses, in a good way, and produces an attractive beginning. To my nose, it does not resembalce the original ADG, yet people around me asked If i wore ADG the original when i wore this.

Succulent fruity notes mingle with vibrant herbs, rich woods and resins in an exuberant and magnetic modern masculine scent that works in almost any situation. This WILL pull you compliments and positive attention, but you will still be getting less value from your money by spending on an inferior product. I've put on the same shirt the following morning and still got whiffs of it every now and then which is awesome. The patchouli provides the perfect balance between the aquatic fragrance and the woody aromas, creating true masculinity with a sensual twist that is at the heart of the aftershave for him. Not calone definitely, because this one is more modern) are blended with ambery creamy sweet molecules (I believe coumarin vanillin amber) It recreates typical sweet tonka bean-vanilla nuance in designer perfumery but definitely with this fresher side. The uniqueness is what gives this one points, and I do see how someone below compared it to a lighter oud minerale. And then, it turns face to a patchouli feel mixed with the fresh STANK of seaweed(which I did not mind), and settles to an almost smoky and fairly warm but dark woody scent. The opening is citrusy, aquatic, woody, bright, and intense; dry-down is mostly woody, with light aquatic and faint citrus touches. it has a nice woody sweet scent to it and it doesn't smell like alcohol at all when you first spray it which is always good.

After 10 mins or so it starts to become woodier, the ebony wood gives a darker woody feeling and it also has this slightly, slightly smoky kind of hint to it. Has a great opening but I feel at times the wood is quite dry and it feels like it hits the back of my throat. Woods overdose and ambery addictive warmness of labdanum resinoid blow masculinity and character to the cologne in the base. The woods are also noticeable, they create a slightly resinous, ambery sweet, and fine wood-like scent.I get a very sweet and ambery woody opening, and not long after you'll begin to get some marine notes in the background. Even after trying profusely to scrub the scent off of my wrist with soap and water, it lingered for a while longer. This is my opinion based off owning ~60 fragrances before Absolu so this one really did make quite the impression on me. i will be using it as one of my daily scents, but i can imagine it works on a night out just as well.

At first I'm pretty sure whatever he wore at the beginning of the year was axe body spray and it was awful. I found that Parfum Belcam makes a clone and I have to say it smells very similar to this; especially the citrusy seaweed opening which I love.Even being always complimented when I wore it, I eventually put my 75ml bottle on the back shelf when I got half through.

The seaweed in Absolu Instinct definitely to me is much more pleasant smell, less bitter and cruel, gives it more of an aquatic oceanic kind of feel. Absolu Instinct to me is a whole different story, you can tell from how badly it's been received that this is by any means a crowd pleaser, in fact this seems to be playing against all odd becoming very divisive. Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Profumo is a rich woodier version of the classic Armani Fragrance for men, Acqua di Gio EDT. The true nail in the coffin is that Absolu performs weaker than the aforementioned fragrances, therefore there is no reason to own this. Top notes are Sea Notes, Lemon and Bergamot; middle notes are Seaweed and Patchouli; base notes are Amberwood and Ebony Wood.A bit strange because for AdG Profumo I think the opposite, I'm not a huge fan of the opening but the dry down is delicious. But alas, sillage is good also, you will leave a nice scent trail that is soft and sensual wherever you go.
