About this deal

i’m also very happy to see that units like the bastialdon got a slight change in shooting, making it a less interesting yet still viable shooting options. Nothing fancy for the metal of the spear, I used my usual Vallejo Mecha Color Steel for this. Similar with the various trinkets and trim I used Retributor Gold as it’s a nice easy gold paint staple.

This is such a clever redesign. So many elements from the original model are still present – from the Skinks attending the Starmaster to the tusks protruding from his seat, this is an evolution of the original design that remains delightfully truthful to its source material. What’s more, he’s not actually all that difficult to put together. What may seem like quite a complicated build at first does begin to make a lot of sense once you get into the swing of it. Sacred Stegadon Helm (Skink) –A nice item for a combat focused Skink Hero, buffing save rolls and increasing the damage of any melee weapons on the charge. new raptors have the worst mechanic i have seen, a cavalry that get rewarded for fail in his job, a cavalry is done to charge and kill the unit,thats why everyone uses spears on them always, getting a buff for not killing something is useless, and even then rival only have to disengage and you loose every charge buff haha Additionally, you get rules for playing entire campaigns in which players battle for a world or an entire sub-sector while their Princeps gain new skills and reap the rewards of conquest. On top of that, there are rules for creating your own Titan Legions, allowing you to bring your own Legio to life with custom Traits, Stratagems, and Wargear – and terrain rules for hostile battlefields. Phew!Unless I missed something or they errata it, that doesn't work until late engagement. The number of Endless Spells you can control is a separate rule from how many you can cast in a single turn. They total for each happens to be 1 by default, but increasing the first doesn't inherently increase the second. First up, they are getting a new form of heavy cavalry that they said dwarfs the old models but didn’t show too many size comparisons. Spacefolder’s Stave –A really powerful artefact that allows you to summon units of Seraphon within 7″ of an enemy rather than 9″! Tepok’s Beneficence –This spell can be used to protect a friendly Skink unit, making them more difficult to wound. Kroxigor Warspawned are a spawn-breed marked by the wrathful god Sotek. Once a rare sight, the Era of the Beast has seen the arrival of more and more Warspawned – battle-bred brutes who are barely functional outside of combat, requiring skink attendants to clean and feed them. Should anyone lay a finger on their devoted assistants, these crocodilian killers fly into an apoplectic rage. Seraphon Army SetSalamanders –Not really removed, the new Spawn of Chotec is the new name for this. If you want to keep using your old models, you should be able to. Shrewd Strategist (Skink) –A potentially game changing once per battle ability that can be used in your opponent’s combat phase to allow a nearby Seraphon unit to attempt a charge! To reflect its more Saurus heavy nature, Coalesced Ape Starborne by giving 4 command traits to Slann but 3 to Saurus instead of Skinks.

Starlight Summons– Power 13+ (3 mortal wounds for failure). You get to summon 10 Saurus Warriors or 20 Skinks. Coalesced Slann and Skink Wizards get access to the Lore of Ancient Domains and Lore of Primal Jungles respectively. Let’s look at the Lore of Ancient Domains first. Before we move onto the Grand Strategies and Battle Tactics we can first take a look at the unique Seraphon Core Battalion, Thunderquake. This Battalion grandts the Slayers and Swift abilities with the following requirements :-In contrast to Starborne, Coalesced are more physical bruisers. Their buffs favor Saurus and monsters, but you still want to bring along Slann and Skinks for spellcasting support. Battle Traits Predatory Fighters Drain Magic is the only spell that is duplicated across both, it’s…fine but unlike Starborne you can’t swap to another spell if your opponent doesn’t have much in the way of spellcasting, so you’ll probably skip it here. Now we’re getting to the good stuff. It’s not a secret that Saurus were a real weak point in the book, and the heroes were pretty underwhelming compared to similar Monster Heroes. Well, this is definitely a lot more impressive. He gained 3 more wounds for a max of 15, and like most Monsters in 3.0 books, the drop off on the damage chart is a lot less stark, so he can fight better for longer. A certain Cold-blooded Unity between the two units allows Raptadon Chargers to deal increased damage with their Tepok Lances if the unit they target has already been distracted by a hail of celestite-tipped javelins from their Hunter counterparts.
