I’ve been experimenting with makeup since I was in middle school (earlier, if you count my mom letting me wear her lipstick to run errands at Walmart circa nine years old). The waterproof, volume-boosting formula adds thickness and plumpness to your lashes for up to 10x more volume*. I happen to have all of CoverGirl’s LashBlast mascaras in my stash, so I thought I’d do an overview post to show the differences between them, and my preferences.

I've said it before, but Maybelline Great Lash, which you always hear recommendations for, doesn't do shit for my eyelashes.

I've seen shiseido or some reputable brand put a sign saying toss after 24m on the mascara so you may be right to say that waterproof mascaras prevent bacterial contamination.

This particular mascara is especially difficult to review, because there's nothing exactly remarkable about it, despite its being one of my favorite mascaras out there. I will say, I needed to get a few swipes in before I started noticing a visible difference, but I was really happy with the finished look.
