It is set in the same universe and features a main character that you’ve already met before in The Unadoptables. I should have written to them immediately myself, but I understood as an adult the reclaiming/irony/Undutchables rationales, and was able move past the title to read the book itself and understand that the book is all about being true to yourself and creating a family with love and determination. All the Enid Blyton books that my extended family had could not satisfy my curiosity and yearning to explore through those pages.
