The fewer letters you have in the clue words, the harder the puzzle is and as you progress through the book, that is what happens. Being a diary, the problems are grouped into weeks so that each Monday, you have an easier puzzle and then it becomes increasingly difficult as the week goes on until on the Saturday, you have a HyperGogen + and on the sunday, you have a GoldenGogen.
