About this deal

Aside from these relatively trivial issues, I am impressed with the overall design of the packaging. We also experienced issues getting our unit to reach 100dB, which we don't experience with other Logitech headphones. I can clearly hear enemies approaching, and environmental sounds like rain and fire sound well balanced with the rest of the sounds in the game. After landing an audio technician job at a small recording studio as a teenager, my passion for musical engineering and desire to learn about high quality sound reproduction flourished. It’s one of the lightest headsets I’ve come across, and felt fantastic in use for extended periods of time.

For instance, when listening to music and typing out some work, even with the volume on high, the G535 Lightspeed wasn’t able to block out all typing noise. The controls are well placed with a power on/off button, and a volume control wheel found on the side of the left ear cup for easy access. Audio is nicely balanced, although with a degree of low-end punch that’s especially useful in FPS games.

Unfortunately, if you were looking for a multi-platform-compatible gaming headset, the G535 might not be for you as it doesn’t support Xbox or Switch and doesn’t offer Bluetooth, either. Their companion software also offers customization features like a graphic EQ plus presets to help you adjust their otherwise neutral sound to suit your tastes. The headset’s frame is made entirely of painted plastic, and I wouldn’t count on it withstanding too many drops. They also create a wide, open-seeming passive soundstage, which helps create a more immersive listening experience. There’s a little bit of room in the earcups; but overall, the G535 Lightspeed is a supremely comfortable headset.

They seem prone to some noise leakage, which leads to the audio coming out of the headphones to spill out and be picked up by the microphone in certain instances. But it does the basics very well: it sounds really good in an unflashy manner, it’s super-comfortable, its battery life is long enough to be thoroughly practical, and it’s built to last a very long time indeed, even if subjected to abuse. While they're lacking a thumpy low-bass, and their treble is a bit recessed, you can adjust their sound to your liking using their companion software's graphic EQ and presets.

Inside, we find a reinforced cardboard insert box that slides out and houses the headset, which is nicely fastened into place to prevent movement.

It was a very simple setup, with the G535 also supported with the Logitech G Hub software for PC users to use. That said, their wireless design eliminates the chance of the audio cable snagging on something and pulling them off of your head.support isn't on the cards here, which makes the Logitech G535 a pure Lightspeed Wireless headset for PC or PlayStation gaming.

However, since they're not for physical activity, even small head shakes can make the headphones move around your head. On the left ear cup, you have the USB-C charging port along with the power button and volume controls. A low-latency wireless headset that is one of the lightest and most comfortable we've tested to date. They're both comfortable and decently well-built, but the G535 reproduce audio more consistently, have a slightly more neutral sound profile, and their passive soundstage seems more open and natural. The 40mm drivers, while not being the biggest you’ll find in a headset, pump out a satisfying level of volume and bass on everything from your daily playlist to the most intensive of gameplay sessions.

The Logitech G535 Lightspeed is compatible with PC and PlayStation 4 and 5, using a USB wireless receiver to bridge between headset and device. With 40 mm neodymium drivers, G535 delivers crisp, clear and deep stereo sound that makes your game come alive. The boom mic, which can be flipped up if you want to turn it off, is quite short and seems to be the perfect length to pick up whatever noise comes out of your mouth rather than anything extraneous.
