About this deal

This book was for me like a huge mug of hot chocolate with marshmallow topping, so welcoming, comforting and tasty.

We complained to management but she just apologised but we still had to pay for it even though we left most of it. Additionally some of the plot-line seems remarkably similar to Alexandra Brown's book 'The Great Village Show'. This is mostly because it is always busy, which is only a sign of its popularity but it only makes me want to visit even more.I was gutted that it was over and I'll definitely be reading more from this author, it was right up my street! We offer a range of street food, gourmet sausage rolls, hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, wraps and homemade cakes. The Lemon Tree Cafe itself was an inviting hub in the village of Barnaby and Cathy Bramley's writing left me feeling I knew the village and the cafe as well as the large cast of characters. It has been a long time coming but I finally managed to visit ‘Lemon Tree Deli Cafe ‘on the Ely square.

The Lemon Tree Café offers breakfast, morning coffee, homemade cakes and bakes, pastries, light bites served all day, lunches, afternoon teas, Kentish cream teas, delicious desserts and drinks and wine.

At first I did wonder where the story was going, because the blurb didn't give much away but I think that just made it so much more interesting. There is a good selection of cakes, cookies, and scones, as well as savory items such as sausage rolls, sandwiches, paninis, and pastries.

I read a wide variety of novels, but there is a special place on my bookshelf for Marian Keyes, Maeve Binchy, Beth O’Leary and Emily Henry. I enjoyed my veggie / meat free breakfast that comes with a choice of homemade bubble and squeak or hash browns. Escaping from the rain we found this lovely, cosy little cafe which was thankfully dog friendly 🐶 What a find! there are TWO plots involving rape and the way one of them is in my opinion disrespectful and distasteful to both rape victims and trans people.I know that the topic of her past is a sensible thing and all that and I cannot understand her feelings because nothing like the sort has ever happened to me blah, blah blah. A really strange ending to such a sensitive storyline, the turn of events was veryyy uncomfortable to read, not to mention it feeling out of character for the main character Rosie as she presents herself as a feminist throughout the book. Still reeling from a shock revelation, the Featherstone family rallies together, and for Rosie this means that life at The Lemon Tree Café is temporarily on hold. Also how annoying does Rosie get when she is like nobody can tell me what to do but breaks up or unfriends Gabe when he finds a job with her competing cafe brand.
