About this deal

After 35 years in Senior Leisure Business Roles I decided it was time to follow my number one passion for music and launch Blue Sky Vinyl. The last few years have been amazing with tens of thousands of records and CD's coming into our business where they are lovingly restored before we distribute them all across the globe. Want to sign up to receive these stories straight to your inbox? It's free and means you'll never miss out on the most important Staffordshire news of the day I got a proper designer in to create the logo, inspired by the colours on the Mr Blue Sky sleeve by ELO and the idea of 'blue sky thinking' - creating something fresh and new. A friend of mine recommend this band and the album, because he knows how much I seek for high-quality music, and that’s his all time favorite albums. He believe in this album so much he gifted me an iTunes copy of this album. The moment I got to the second song I knew I had to had to get the vinyl of this.

This year, special albums will be re-pressed and re-released including Post Malone (The Diamond Collection), Prince (Gett Off), The Doors (Live from Bakerfield), Sia (Everyday Is Christmas) and Alesha Dixon's debut album (Fired Up).Gorgeous compilation of great Vertigo acts and released on vinyl complete with wild artwork. A real treat for the ears if you can get a copy! Mr MacDonald said: "We're not interested in the easy listening stuff you'd find in charity shops - Englebert Humperdink and that kind of thing - but anything else is of interest and we'll try to give the best price.

Music-mad David MacDonald left his job as executive director of Uttoxeter Racecourse earlier this year after 14 years at the helm.I have ensured that Blue Sky Vinyl offers a first class service and, most importantly, offers the best prices for used vinyl. I would urge anyone considering a sale of their collection to give us a chance to quote as there is a huge difference in what various companies will offer. Selling a collection that has so many memories can be quite an emotional experience and I always treat the records with respect and love. Nothing thrills me more than restoring records to their best possible condition and sending them on their way to new homes to begin a new chapter. Records should not be stored in the loft forgotten and gathering dust. First of all, this blows iTunes into a oblivion. The sound breathes and you can feel it the moment the band enters. The instruments are separated perfectly for the depth and atmosphere of the album. In fact, here you can hear the truly atmosphere of the album. This pressing has wider soundstage against the iTunes and everything sounds more natural in your space. The music has the space to come out great from your speakers and I really enjoy it. All instruments sounds amazing and especially the keyboards.

We'll be trading in used vinyl initially and I'm more than happy to drive out and look at people's collections."

He previously booked The Smiths as president of Edge Hill University students' union - with thousands of students turning up to a 450-capacity venue and having to be kept out by the police - shortly before their famous Top of the Pops performance of This Charming Man in the mid-'80s. Clear Blue Sky also featured on these vinyl albums, long assigned to the record collector’s archives: The Vertigo Trip

After that, Mr MacDonald went on to have a successful career in live music promotion before joining the racecourse. Vinyl's more than just listening to the music - it's the touch; the feel; all those great memories of sitting in your bedroom studying the artwork on the record sleeves. We'll have to where it goes in terms of retail and eventually setting up a shop, but it's starting online. Selected items are only available for delivery via the Royal Mail 48® service and other items are available for delivery using this service for a charge. I more recently started collected all the vinyl I had as a teenager, travelling up and down the country to find the records, and fell in love with it all over again. There's definitely a growing market for vinyl now - it outsold CDs last year for the first time since 1987 - and in the pandemic, a lot of people have looked at their lives and what's important to them.
