About this deal

Without giving away the story because you have to read it yourself, I'm so hoping that a certain soul up above gets to be born again to the same father but to a loving mother (hint hint Stephanie) Ever since the start of Afterlife Dom wasn’t calling to my soul. No one can deny he’s a sexy alpha character but I was hmmm, let’s see who this big bad Vampire is were my thoughts... I do believe the series itself dragged on and some of the things that happened were monotonous. I actually quit reading the series for a couple of months because I was truly annoyed. I finally completed it and I am quite happy with the way Stephanie has ended it. We get to see Amelia and Luc having personal time but also a lot more time with family and I'm really glad about that because we get a lot of laughter with it. It’s hard for me to get into this book because for starters, it drags and drags and drags and drags... you get what I mean. And then the heroine is so unlikable. She could convince herself until she’s blue in the face that she isn’t the same naive, 21 year old girl who naively gave herself up to the Hero only to be humiliated, but alas, she’s still the same girl at 27 year old.

This series and the Afterlife series could have been great. The plot was excellent, the world-building was fine, and the development of the characters was excellent as well. The difficulty is the many numerous mistakes made with the English language. A few mistakes can be overlooked especially with self-published books. This writer's mistakes however, occur in every paragraph. The misuse of the word ' as' is one example. Another common mistake is the improper use of tenses. Past and future tense are incorrectly used with regularity. An example is ' I didn't mind sat in the room waiting for him '. The proper use of verbs is learned in elementary school. She’s a talented novelist when it comes to her extensive world-building too, creating vast and expansive universes. This sense of scope and scale is massively entertaining, allowing the reader to really explore the stories and series that she’s created over the years. A unique and individual voice within her particular field, Stephanie Hudson is unparalleled, becoming a household name for many. With her characters standing the test of time too, she continues to draw in readers from all around the world, as her audience grows day-by-day. The Afterlife Academy starts approx 15/16 years after the end of Happy Ever Afterlife!! (aimed at a younger audience but definitely worth a read for everyone, especially if you want to know what happens to the the 2 baby souls!!!). Some of the new characters in these books will pop up in the other Afterlife Kings books and in the Transfusion Series so you may want to meet them for the start of their journeys!!

Just hope the author doesn't drag this out to much and ruin it... Afterlife was going to be one of my all time favorites... but the kidnapping and Drama got a bit too YA for me ruining its initial premise and afer book 7 i really gave up caring what happened to the characters.... I was happy to get this book see they have all managed to survive happily up until now, without having to read all 12 books so silver lining. Facing the truth once more, Theo must deal with the reality of being a Draven, as he copes with the responsibilities placed upon him. This takes him on a journey, and one that ends with a stone staircase deep underneath London’s surface, whereby he’ll really put his powers to the test. Entering the Afterlife Academy with his friends, he must face the reality of his nightmares, as he witnesses the Devil’s Ring, which is a fight club for the supernatural. Will he be able to deal with all, can he cope with the new reality he finds himself within, and what will become of the Reaper’s Book? Growing up with a strong fascination in the written word, Stephanie Hudson would start writing from an early age. This would continually develop throughout the years, allowing her to become an influential writer in her own right in time. Reading numerous fantasy novels, this would be something that she’d come to make her own unique name in. You have given us a true masterpiece with Afterlife and Transfusion so I just want to say a big thank you.xx

Also the relationship between him and Lucifer was rather interesting. The comment he makes at the end of chapter three, when he says "you will bring me my queen"...it makes me wonder if her other novel 'devil in me' is set in the same universe as this, if that's so then is he referring to lily? Because lucius was never in that book...eh maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Another thing I'm curious about is whether or not lucius is actually the king of death, because I feel like in one of either the later afterlife books, which of course would've taken place way earlier than this series, they mentioned the king of death and how he'd already found his electus(I could be wrong though, of course).

In fact, to all who knew me well, I was a morning monster and could rival Hell’s wrath if woken up before I absolutely had to. Which made getting me up in the morning for school a bit of a challenge for my parents. But, since then I liked to think that I had matured in this department and therefore no longer growled like a bear at people should they wish me good“ The ending... Matthias turns into a god, Lucius said ‘the only thing that can beat a god is another god’ and what do you know Amelia becomes a god and defeats him. It’s exactly the same ending as afterlife, where Keira became a god to beat the enemy. Like seriously? Giving the returning fans everything that they could hope for here, this book works well on so many different levels. Hudson also makes her own voice heard, providing plenty of exciting twists and turns along the way, keeping it engaging and unpredictable. It’s a real testament to her skills as a writer that this works so well, from it’s well crafted characters to its ever engaging storyline. I really really really tried to like this book. The plot is 1000% what I was looking for and love... BUT THE DISASTROUS WRITING

The Transfusion Saga Series in Order (14 Books)

I will Always be a hard core Lucius fan and I couldn’t wait for him to get his own saga as Stephanie had promised. When I found out that Amelia was his chosen one I didn’t know how to feel but damn it, if I wasn’t intrigued. And again our author goddess did not disappoint. I absolutely love the transfusion series. Our girl is a bass ass which we all knew she was but she saved everybody infront of her Daddy which yet again I thought was a lovely touch because he would not believe how resourceful she was before this time. Thank goodness I read them through my Kindle Unlimited account because having to pay for this would have seriously peaved me off. I think if the sex scenes were left out, these would appeal to 12 year old girls looking for a dark night fantasy. Except because there's no character growth, I wouldn't let my daughter read it! The Forbidden Chapters.. part 1 covers Afterlife saga books 1-3. Can be read straight after them or maybe best after the saga. No right or wrong time to read it. Steph has also said she may look at releasing part 2!!

She’s actually a strong character but put the Hero in front of her and all of sudden she is a mumbling stutering mess—I almost felt sorry for her. At first at least. Seeing him again after so many years surely gave her a whiplash but then slowly she started to give the Hero the time of day then I just got annoyed. Honey, he humiliated you!! I don’t care if he had a good reason for it. And then you found out that he has feelings for your own mother! And you’re giving him the time of day as if it was nothing? This book (No 13) continues straight from where we left off, so we get to see our sexy vamp King go and lay his daughter to rest finally ( I cried soooo much) because it was such a lovely heart warming and sad part of his journey. Still learning what it really means to be ‘The Chosen One,’ Keira remains with the sands of the Persian desert beneath her feet. Chosen One to the King of Kings, she is held in the grip of Arsaces, as he’s set upon keeping, no matter what the cost is to him. The world is about to end though, and the prophecy has been foretold, with him fighting against everything to keep hold of her. Will he keep her within his grasp, can she save the world as The Chosen One, and what will become of the blood of the Infinity War? THE HEROINE SEEMS TO FEEL EVERY THOUGHT SHE THINKS MAKES HER AN ESPECIALLY SPECIAL LITTLE SNOWFLAKE.

Vincent’s story will be at least one more book!! Research trips have had to be cancelled which has delayed this but Steph is hopefully going to get this book as soon as she can. Afterlife Saga is 12 books in total, which includes the books that are in two parts plus the many spin-off books that follow, as some stories are just too big for one book. At the moment I am finishing Lucius's story in the Transfusion Saga and all 12 books will be released very soon. After that will be the conclusion of Vincent's story, Imp and the Beast, Books 1 & 2 and the other Afterlife King Spin-off series. There is also the Afterlife Academy aimed at a younger audience but still an important part of the whole Afterlife World.
