Players were able to encounter him in the very first demo available in 2014 at GR2's GAME NIGHT and Anime Expo 2014.

I get it's her trying to move away from the pain of missing out thirty years, but somehow it didn't read like it on page. The lonely Ruth sees an UFO flash across the sky through her telescope and accompanied by her dog creeps out of her creaky attic to see what it is – this despite her ogre aunt who belongs to the genre of Cinderella’s Ugly Sisters and all the wicked stepmothers across fairy tale genres. SPACEBOY makes a brief cameo as SPACE EX-BOYFRIEND in the first FARAWAY TOWN segment as a vision hallucinated by SUNNY. Young siblings Dan and Helen must protect their new friend, a strange blue alien boy they name Peep-Peep, from the terrifying evil alien known only as The Thin (Space) Man, who's after him.The SPACE PIRATES ask OMORI and friends to retrieve his SPECIAL MIXTAPE from the JUNKYARD in hopes of revitalizing SPACE BOYFRIEND.
